I was looking for an investment for me, but at the same time I wanted to do a test to find a machine fits my partners:
affordable for the budget of my partners (community radio stations, Communities, associations chrtiennes).
simplicity of use and reliability of the system </ul>
Due to time and budget, I did not test other models. I invest in a tascam hsit HDP2 (http://www.tascam.com/Products/hdp2.html) or a Marantz PMD660 (http://www.d-mpro.com/users/folder . asp? FolderID = 3629 & CatID = 19 & SubCatID = 180), but too expensive for my research. Then I pretty hsit between the Edirol R-09 and M-Audio MicroTrack 24/96. It is this that took my prfrence for the simple reason that I've found an online Euro 300.
For the type of use that I made, this unit has rpondu perfectly.

I'm very happy with this device for the use I make of it. My dernire delivery was put online on the internet a vnemnet: 20 confrences over 4 days. Taken with the MicroTrack's in mono wave output mixing, transfer in less than 5 minutes via USB2, treatment on a ProTools LE on my PB in XP, editing, compression and modulation standard, then export to MP3 (64k Mono speech) in iTunes, and RESOLUTION better for music. If I had to make that choice
Yes, I rachterais a MicroTrack. I'd like to test one day a Edirol R-09 and a Marantz PMD660, to compare. The MicroTrack is for me a good alternative to MiniDisc trs.
While sr, this is not the miracle recorder and cheap that everyone dream ... but probably never will exist!
