Great material to work. It is a "work station" really great: you can change the tempo without interfering with the height and vice versa, looping for delicate passages, transfer ... All via a simple headphone (no need for external amplification, which allows you to work absolutely anywhere with a box that fits easily into a jacket pocket), all without disturbing anyone! Sounds delivered via a PC are really excellent quality (they render faithfully recorded files), which allows via CDs such as "play with ..." work in ideal conditions. If mine fell in the road tomorrow, I'll buy one soon! I use it almost every day for a year and I can not get enough. We find the same functionality with mini amp Jam Vox. But if it works as well with better sound (with respect to the amps, preamps, effects ... Jam Vox is great) you still have a PC so that it works, it therefore takes more space and we the less easily cart around! In short, in conclusion, I would say that I still use a lot more than the Tascam Jam because of its very practical side. Now if you want to work donf also on the sound, choose the one that it is a great teacher at that level
