Topic Phantom power on Audiobox USB 96
I'm trying to figure out how to setup the Presonus Audiobox USB 96 audio interface. I'd like to connect a condenser mic via XLR to one input and an electric guitar connected to DI box out to the other via XLR. The condenser mic uses phantom power, so the phantom power switch must be on. In the manual it states "The AudioBox USB96 provides 48V phantom power for both microphone inputs. Press the 48V button to enable phantom power for both microphone input". This sounds like it will send phantom power to the instrument port as well as microphone. The DI box uses an XLR out. Does this mean phantom power will go to the instrument as well? Is this dangerous? Are DI boxes prepared for this? Should I use an XLR to TRS cable for the connection between DI box and audio interface?

Thanks in advance,
