Value For Money : Poor
The Dobrolektric is the only model resonator guitar made by Gibson that is equipped with a micro P90 which is associated a Highlander piezo. No sounding board, but a hollow body structure, two vents in "f", a solid maple body and the handle, color sunburst 14 frets stick out, a cutaway for access to an excellent treble, 3 potentiometers control. We can play the electric microphone each separately or both together. P90 sound is clear and deep, somewhat serious tone. The piezo is more acoustic, more acute as well. The combination of both is excellent of course. This acoustic guitar sound perfectly. I have a copy made in 1999, bought in Mexico, a musician who had himself bought in Dallas, Texas. I play almost only his acoustic. But I recorded a few songs on a home studio. The sound is simply excellent. The game of this guitar is perfect. It is a true professional and versatile instrument. At the same time it is a very special instrument, like all the resonator guitar. It should be hard to use ropes, claiming the strength in the fingers. This is a guitar that gives it its color and its resonance with a game very firm and solid quality muscle of the fingers. But the resulting sound is a reward. The price is high (about 2500 euros new), but in every way this model is no longer manufactured. Some dealers are even yet able to propose new models for sale. On occasion I think it is hard to find less than 1500 euros. But one never knows .. Gibson is a product high-end keeps all its promises. And the quality is paid for .. it's a secret ..

UTILIZATION

Excellent ergonomics. Access to acute is perfect thanks to the cutaway. The resulting sound is perfect. This is an excellent high-end instrument ..

SOUNDS

His impeccable. The P90 sounds clear and deep, the piezo in turn restores a more natural acoustic sound. The combination of the two is the fire of God ...

OVERALL OPINION

I would not trade this guitar against any other. I have tried few resonator guitar and am not able to compare it to others. But I feel I have been very lucky in finding this model no longer made by Gibson. It is a perfect instrument in my opinion, given the versatility electric / acoustic. If I do it again do it again the same choice. Like all high-end instruments the price is high. But largely justified ...
