SOUND QUALITY

super reverb vintage big sound in 12bit, sounds hot I think. a kick, a snare drum, a keyboard is top.
the équalisuer is very efficient, very beautiful in the low mids.

to dub it's perfect, or electro sounding oriented 80s. I stuck behind my rx7 is pretty radical ..

OVERALL OPINION

100th for me it is really used godsend (provided they are well aware that this is vintage eh!)

at this price I will even take a second, direct to the rack from the sound board.

Digital reverb unit with a semi-parametric equalizer analog with 4 modes of reverb, a knob Input Level (Input Level), the EQ has Low, Mid and High with adjustable frequency and volume (2 buttons 1) and an ON-OFF conmutateur for EQ, then a little more to the right is a knob with which we little MIXING choose more reverb or more of its direct (dry / wet) and a level knob Output (Output Level) and to his right and then a bypass switch at the far right entrance FOOT SW jack to control the pedal with a BYPASS or triggers. All in one rack unit.
Behind an input (jack), 1 output (jack), a level switch (LEVEL)-20db / +4 db, an input INSERT (jack), INSERT 1 output (jack) and finally a voltage selector (voltage selector) :110-120 / 220-240, and the power cable.

UTILIZATION

Editing simple and intuitive even then Yamaha, digital analog rack with a button for each function.

SOUND QUALITY

This is effective reverb, EQ takes care of everything, the 4 modes are for the reverberation time.
I use on pianos, guitars, bass or drums. I mostly use the EQ in real time to scan the frequencies of the reverb, I get unexpected sounds! Dub School!

OVERALL OPINION

It'll be two months now that I have recovered from an attic of a guy I Meet in Spain. I put it in clean and now it sounds perfect, with a certain dynamic, a little breath at a high level but not c méchand, you really get to hear (the soufffle). € 50 + € 30 reverb cleaning = € 80 in all for a reverb collector since it was one of the first analog-digital reverbs.
I do it again the choice to buy it for my music needs all kinds of reverbs and that is really his grain.

The Yamaha R1000 is a digital reverb unit that is enclosed in a single rack space rack mountable unit. It has 1/4 inch inputs and outputs in the back as well as a 1/4 inch output in the front of it for a foot switch.

UTILIZATION

The configuration of the Yamaha R1000 is pretty easy to figure out overall, as there are no tricks involved at all. From left to right, the unit has four buttons to choose the reverb mode, a meter to show the output level, and then has parameters in the form of knobs for input level, three equalization knobs for low, mid, and high, a knob for setting the reverb level in the mix and then an overall output level knob. It also has buttons to put the EQ in or out as well as a button for power. I don't have the manual for the Yamaha R1000, so I can't speak to how complete it is.

SOUND QUALITY

The sound quality of the Yamaha R1000 is pretty good but is nothing to write home about in my opinion. It has a good amount of different reverb sounds but to me none of them stand out all that much. I have used this reverb on a number of different instruments including for vocals, drums, and guitars, and while I'm usually satisfied with the sounds I can get, nothing on this unit really sounds above average.

OVERALL OPINION

I've been using the Yamaha R1000 for about two years and while I like the unit as a whole I don't use it all that often because I would rather use a reverb plug-in for convenience. To me I can get a comparable if not better sound from a reverb plug-in and it just isn't worth it to use a piece of outboard gear if I don't have to. Because of this, the Yamaha R1000 isn't all that expensive if you can come across a used one and is a good choice because of this cheap price. Overall, the Yamaha R1000 is a nice sounding reverb unit that should only be used if you are really into outboard reverb.
