Rico announced an addition to its Reserve line, the Reserve Classic Bass Clarinet reed.
Designed in conjunction with clarinetist J. Lawrie Bloom, Bass Clarinetist of the Chicago Symphony Orchestra, the Reserve Classic Bass Clarinet reeds include a special 3.0+ strength and are made from lower-internode cane. Only the lower sections of each cane pole are selected, giving greater consistency, thanks to the ultra-dense structure, the manufacturer says.
