PreSonus Voodoo vs. World Cup Vuvuzelas

It’s loud. It’s obnoxious. It’s the large plastic trumpet known as the vuvuzela that has become an annoying accompaniment to this year’s soccer (football) World Cup, and PreSonus has decided to use VooDoo against it.

Fans around the world are desperate to wipe out the huge choruses of this foul-sounding toy that can be heard bleating loudly throughout the games.

PreSonus has come up with a special PreSonus Studio One file that filters out the din of the vuvuzela using the ProEQ plug-in. You can figure out what pitch the vuvuzelas play—PreSonus’ tests show they are playing a Bb—and use the provided file with ProEQ to filter out the demented din. To read more and download the free magic Studio One file, click here.

If you haven’t already checked out Studio One Pro and ProEQ, download the demo from the Studio One page at www.presonus.com.
