This is an effect of ring modulation analog.

There are 4 buttons:
1 mix (dry / wet)
A LPF (Low Pass Filter)
1 volume (gain)
1 Freq (Frequency modulator).

There are two selectors:
Sine / square: select the waveform of the modulator, sine or square.
Low / Hi: The range knob LFO Freq or is it normal.

Can enter an expression pedal controlling the value of Freq (eg Moog PC-251).

UTILIZATION

The effect is very easy to use, provided we know what a ring modulation (amplitude modulation input signal multiplied by a generally sinusoidal waveform).
The knobs are very good, very pleasant to deal with.

SOUND QUALITY

The effect is pleasant to use because it is not rude, it can be discreet, refined settings, thanks to notament LPF. One advantage of the effect in the LFO, which increased the value of Freq below 20Hz. With a square wave and a delay external rhythms can be generated quite interesting compounds.

OVERALL OPINION

I use it for one month, I used a lot of modular analog synths (Buchla, Moog, etc.) and the effect Fairfield guitar manages to sound off in its historic character of the effect is to ca it interested me and I use it.
