The Roland Micro Cube GX retains the ultra compact dimensions and battery power from the original Micro Cube. It includes 8 COSM amp models, including one “Extreme”, 8 DSP effects, including a spring reverb and a “Heavy Octave” and thanks to the i-Cube Link connection and the included cable, you can connect an iPhone, iPod Touch or iPad to the amp and use the free Cube Jam iOS app to play tracks and record the amp signal with the playback.
Another new feature is the Memory function that allows for saving presets (amp + effects) and switch from the preset to the front panel adjustments from a single button. The combo is equipped with a handle and is available in three black, red and white finishes.
The Cube GX Series also features three higher models, the Cube-20GX, Cube-40GX and Cube-80GX, delivery 20W, 40W and 80W respectively. The three amps have three channels (JC Clean, Lead with 10 COSM amp models and SOLO) and include an acoustic amp simulation. SOLO is fully programable, you can load a JC Clean or Lead sound type and EQ and effect parameters to it.
The amps also share three independent effect sections, EFX with 5 types, Delay and Reverb, as well as the i-Cube Link to connect an iOS device, a chromatic/manual tuner and a 3-band EQ. The Cube-80GX also features a Presence control.
You can use optional footswitches to change the channels and enable/disable the effects (GA-FC for the Cube-40GX and Cube-80GX and Boss FS-5U / FS-6 for the Cube-20GX).
