The library collects new recordings of the original sounds from the Fairlight CMI IIx, described as one of the world's first sampling based workstations.
The library is instantly playable with programmed NNXT and Combinator patches. The sound quality is mixed from 8 bit quality up to full dynamics using re-sampling and new inventions on sample playback made possible with Reason’s NNXT sampler. The library also contains recordings of some other classic instruments like LinnDrum, Sequential Tom, Roland JX-8P and Yamaha DX7.
Sounds stretch from artefacts and noises to ambiences and pads. 491 patches in all; over 1700 waveforms.
