Hi everyone! I'm restoring a Beat Thang and I really need firmware version 1.3.1 (or at least 1.3.0). The official Beat Kangz Electronics website has been dead for years. Using the Wayback Machine, I was only able to find the Beat Thang Update Wizard, but the actual firmware file wasn't archived on archive.org.

I checked snapshots of beatkangz.com/downloads/ from February 2013, but the file BeatThang_OS_1.3.1_Update.zip isn't there. I also haven't found any live links in the Gearspace thread yet.

Maybe one of you happened to keep this file on a hard drive, in the cloud, or on an old USB stick? Or perhaps you know where else I could look?

I'd be grateful for any help — even just the exact firmware file name. Thank you!6902727.jpeg

Guys, I honestly don't know where else to turn. My Beat Thang is stuck in a test menu and won't boot. It needs firmware. I really don't want it to become a brick.

The official Beat Kangz Electronics website is dead. I've already written to everyone I could possibly write to — former employees, owners on forums, in Facebook groups. No luck so far. I need firmware version 1.3.1 (or at least 1.3.0). If anyone has a Dropbox or Google Drive archive with Beat Thang files — please, share.

I saw that someone here tried to upload the 1.3.1 firmware, but I couldn't find the actual file. If you know any users of this drum machine — please give me their Facebook contacts or any other way to reach them. I'll contact them myself.

I'm asking you, begging you — please don't scroll past if you have even the smallest bit of information about this device. Any lead could save the machine. Thank you to everyone who responds.
