I have been playing guitar for about five years. I bought this guitar about a year ago. I do play in a band, and play classic rock, hard rock and blues.

I bought this guitar new at Guitar Center and payed about $1000. I looked for many guitars, which included the Fender Road Worn Stratocaster 60s, the 50s, the Les Paul Studio, this guitar, the SG Special, and the SG Raw Power. I played all of them, and suddenly fell in love when I played the Gibson SG Classic.
I was looking for that deep, warm tone, but also, that punchy and hard rock tone, and this guitar has it all, because of the P90 Pickups.

The P90 pickups are simply unbelievable, and can play a variety of tones and types of music. The guitar looks superb too, with it's top notch mahogany wood. The tone of this guitar is also fantastic. The feel of the neck is so comfortable, I can never put the guitar down. The electronics are also amazing. It is very easy to use, and I can slide my fingers on the fretboard with ease and this guitar plays like butter.

There is one thing I don't like about this guitar. The nut isn't great, and needs to be replaced when you first buy this guitar (I replaced it). If I was working for Gibson, I would change the nut and change the tuners to Grovers or something like that. There are no missing features.

This guitar is made with fantastic materials. I think everything about the quality of the item is great. The fit and finish is great too. The pieces and sections fit together very well. Nothing fell off, and had this guitar, as mentioned, for one year. The reliability is fantastic, and never had to bring it in to the shop. I wouldn't worry if I dropped this guitar.

This guitar was worth every penny of my money and your money. I would buy this guitar again for the price I payed and it is fantastic value. People should buy this guitar, because everything about it is awesome, but remember, change the nut when you buy the guitar!
