Samick Artist Series
Published on 04/23/04 at 15:00Well, as for electrics are concerned, I previously had a Givson Blue Diamond (worth Rs. 5,800) and a Samick SA-11 (worth Ra. 14,500). As I leant more, I desperately needed a better guitar for concerts and esp. a double lock for satch and metal. So that's why I opted for a Samick Artist Series worth Rs. 28,900. Got it from California.
Well the best thing about thsi unit is its versatility. Its got both, the punch for metal and the crank for lead. The finishing is out of the world. The fretboard is great.
Well, the double lock (Flyod Rose) for this unit is a bit shaky. The tremolo bar fits kind'a wierdly and the whole bridge doesn't seem to be that impressive.

The construction and quality is great. Full marks on the finishing and the quality of the pickups. Its got 3 pickups. 2 single coil and one humbucker with 5 place pickup selecter, one volome knob and one tone knob. the puckups are the traditional gibson les paul bar types.
Bottomline, go get it. great for home, studio, concerts ... anything! well, the only thing is its price which seems to be quite how (NRS. 28,900) .. but believe me, its worth it.

Seagull Artist Series
Published on 08/01/01 at 15:00purchased guitar from local music shop in limerick, ireland for £915 irish pounds. got a 20% discount. original price was close to £1200 irish pounds. i was on the lookout for a high quality acoustic and was very impressed with a few of the seagulls i played. went to a show previewing the instruments and immediately fell for this.
love the tone and feel. got it with l.r. baggs "duet 2" electronics. they are absolutely brilliant.
action was too high originally, but that was easily fixed. also, the top is solid cedar and very, very sensitive. the pick has already carved a healthy scratch in! however, i've been told these things play well with holes in them!

solid cedar top. solid mahogany back. sides have good 3 way lamination. tapered headstock for easier tuning and "individual" look. well finished and well respected guitars.
after much inspection of other acoustics, this one came out tops. seriously, i played expensive gibsons and taylors but this guitar beat them all. very sensitive, but worth every penny. great value

Made in Korea.
22 frets, two double-coil pickups.
One volume and one tone for each pickup.
A 3-position selector.
Set Mahogany neck with rosewood fingerboard.
UTILIZATION
Handle end and enjoyable whether rhythm or solo.
Access to acute problem-free, impeccable ergonomics, it would up!
SOUNDS
Played on a Vox AD15VT, it sounds for an entry level guitar you get to draw some very good sounds.
She loves distortion is undeniable (that's good too)
OVERALL OPINION
Used for 11 years, it remains as a fairly versatile guitar, I started with and surpass many guitars in its class. I prefer very much to his sister the Epiphone G-400. Now this guitar is not found (or so) in...…

I strongly advise a beginner guitarist!
