The KM86 is a condenser microphone. He has two caps 84. Allowing it to offer in Torah all types of directivity. Here, the manufacturer allows us to virtually have three. (Guess which one ...)
As usual, the i is for international = XLR and nothing at all is for the German version = Tuchel.
OVERALL OPINION
I've had it for over a year and I'm obviously delighted. Especially since mine is in a state absolutely impeccable. Note however that does not sound like a KM84. I would say it has a more pais. I love the old Neumann. Nothing to do with the new KM184 by example and screw joinery. Here, it is a fine watch or does nothing left to chance.
