This microphone is trs prcis, I use it mainly on the hi-hat or acoustic guitar.
This micro (small, trslger and an impeccable assemblage) trs is right, clear and precise.
Unfortunately, my only point of comparison is a Shure PG81 microphone (same type), so the Sennheisser is clearly in the range above, as its price (pay the era 300 euros against 150 euros for PG81) . If my budget had allowed me era, I took a couple of 664 (or three) and two 664 plutt a PG81 ...
Voil good mic in my opinion but again, my comparison REFERENCE limits are hyper.

Since then, I can compare the Oktava MK-012. The Oktava is softer and a little more vintage sounds. The Sennheiser is the most right and most prcis both. on the other hand, major weakness for the 664, no -10 or -20 dB pad. So no top cover for use in snare drum, snare drum timbre, or charley powerful. Too bad.
