I bought this snare last month and I'm glad trs.
I find the reviews for this snare drum a little give a false ide of what it is: it's true the sound is warm, but not slamming relatively prcis as Chad Smith, relatively little harmonic : it is too warm for such a play reggae with harmonic rimshot. I find plutt discrete. that it is in 13 'slightly decreases the volume. It goes well trs funk but fits into the overall sound of the drumkit while in some configurations, it is understood that the snare drum banging.
I really apprcie or my usual snare (pearl master series with circle molded birch is present too.
I had already sold a Dennis Chambers Signature becaufe it just was too sharp (and difficult rgler)
In short, a good trs snare quite go anywhere, trs good touch but is not made for an eyeful.
