Installation is very simple. The unlocking is done by a key sent by Kjaerhus.
The config is very simple, from the moment we know what's the point and you have a little experience on the subject of course ... I have often faced the big question of friends that I sometimes believe philistines come from another planet when I speak of parametric EQ, but brief.
So it's a parametric EQ with analog feel very strong but extremely effective. It is configured with a very simple interface that goes to the point, as usual in Kjaerhus.
The manual is perfect and professional.
SUITABILITY/PERFORMANCE
I have a athlon2400 + / A7N8X-X/1Gb RAM in Tracktion v2.0.1.13 2.
GEQ-7 is not at all resource intensive and this is the motto of Kjaerhus. Nothing to say about stability. It's pro.
OVERALL OPINION
I have used in trial, but not buy it. I broke down recently and I am bought. These days, I reduce my set "plugins" plugins to make simple, not too expensive and known for their relentless efficiency. GEQ-7 is one of them.
I tried bcp parametric EQ (Sonalkis, Sonitus: fx I also (Cakewalk)) and it has really stuck. It has a built-in limiter (it prevents to see the signal type in the red as soon as there is a little extreme settings) and the sound is fat. On low, it boosts the sound literally giving a lot of body.
We can do extreme settings such as thin, so it's the ingredients of a parametric EQ almost perfect.
