Super lightweight! Great sound! A small bombshell!

DV Mark DV Jazz 12Published on 12/08/14 at 08:10
I bought it 15 days ago, super light when unpacking!!!

The first impression is bizarre, but hey, my bassist plays a Mark Bass.

Once plugged in it's a whole different animal, the fan is almost silent...

No audible noises, you can tell the manufacturing is superb.

The reverb is high-quality and precise.

The Master control is very progressive and, unlike many amps, it allows you to play at very low and very high volumes, which isn't the case with certain amps that are simply unadjustable.

Last weekend during a rehearsal with a drummer, bassist and keyboard player, I never had to turn the pot beyond 10 o'clock!!!! It sounds amazing.

Last weekend during a rehearsal with a drummer, bassist and keyboard player, I never had to turn the pot beyond 10 o'clock!!!! It sounds amazing.

But be careful, when very loud it loses some grit, which is normal.

All pots are smooth. I haven't had the time to try out the rest of the functions (aux jack, supplementary speaker).

I play funk with a pedalboard (xotic compressor and overdrive, mooer echo, boss autowah, small stone phaser, and a hotone tuner). I have never found a comparable amp in terms of versatility/power to play funk. To be honest, it's really good!!!

This small amp has allowed me to play most small gigs without lugging too much weight but still having a pure sound, although a bit jazzy. I'm still awaiting a more funky one from the brand, but in the meantime I can do with this one and I'm happy with it.

OVERALL OPINION

I use it for a week. Before I plugged my HJ 800 on a 150 sr Jam technology: Its ultra clean, but 8 hp, tweeter was a little mouth when I sent in short, not quite suitable although I am satisfied for a year. I had Peavey, Fender, HH, transistors. Tripé not (except HH long ago). To compare what is comparable I'm not talking about tube amps.

DV 12 with jazz is something else, the 12 hp (12 custom home) provides a balanced, seamless, wrapping. The power suits me. With 45 W he hits better than the jam 150 with its 150 W. With a subtle drummer and listening is good. For cons, I have not tried it, but in my opinion hopeless with a loud drummer and linear.

Talking about weight ... a mystery to me: 8.6 kg ... a feather. It is almost scary, but it is highly appreciable.

Like any amp transistors, fully it not. Besides that, it is not completely free from vibration when pushed to its limits. It is perfect 6 to 8 and 12 master for my use is already strong. A small volume (3 of 12 graduations of the master) to play with acoustic instruments in rehearsal, it sounds great too.

It is equipped with a fan that means a little when not playing and we are in a very quiet environment.

The price hurts a little: € 489 often and gently. I paid € 419, but it was actually a non-advertised by the dealer who sold me the new B-stock. The next day they were out. See if this price holds after refueling. Indelicate anyway Ms. Musikia must announce the color.

In short it is called Jazz 12 ... and it is aptly named. For the transistor I think we thoroughly as a jazz amp from my little experiment.

I use it on stage soon. I add new comments for this use.
