Gibson Lab Series L7

The Lab series L7 guitar amp uses a hybrird tone control.
(Channel 1) utilizes a passive 3 band EQ ( Treble, Middle, Bass) Passive tone stacks are cut only, meaning they primarily attenuate frequencies rather than boost.
(Channel 2) This channel incorporates a more versatile fully active tone contol system, with sweepable parametric midrange control and active Bass and Treble controls that allow for both boost and cut. this enables one to get a much wider range of tonal shaping witch is useful for dialing in various overdrive and distortion sounds.
This is one of the few amps that can deliver this kind of controll. If you are an experiance guitar player and know how to dial in sound, this Amp will set you up for any room situation/ size with big sound at low volume or full on.
This Amp and my Fender Vibro King are my vavorite sounding amps so far. Not to mention there are many other options this amp has availible. Effects loop or pre amp out and aux amp in. Reverb on off peddle and built in compresor for that chicken pickin sound.

UTILIZATION

The rglages Fawn trs are intuitive, without making head. Whatever the positions of the buttons, the sound is always good! I would say that it is enough to refine the sound to suit his game and not "do".

SOUNDS

A WONDER SOUND, that Defines how this amp. Ideal for jazz and blues (with my ES 125 in '53, has made serious!). The sound is deep and velvety trs wish. This amp has me!

OVERALL OPINION

I found this amp by chance and I pay an Misra (130, knowing that it is usual to ngoc 750). I always jou on the lights but I rvis my decision (lighter, less restrictive for maintenance, trs strong and robust with the added bonus of sound rve! ).
Amp with a rare quality that must be possder!

UTILIZATION

In clean, the palette of sound is very rich, very easy to find a good sound.
the reverb is huge, "spatial"!

Amp not made for distortion, even with effects pedals sound is almost unbearable. (Boss ds1, ibanez Tubescreamer ,...)

I do not use more often, but it is an ideal amp over from jazz to blues / rock.

OVERALL OPINION

I used it for 3 years, I have only recently become aware of its value and its magnificent potential ...
I tried vein over a period of play was pitiful and the disto ...
I even thought a time get rid of it!
But the clean sound is incredibly rich and varied settings (lens, crunch, warm, round ...).
This receiver was part of a range used by BB King and is discoverable in time to around € 600, although it is rare.
A must for blues!
