Mackie Macheath
Awesome sleeper.
Published on 09/02/22 at 14:20I play mainly with a clean tone (some Americana like mix between jazz blues and country) and this amp is perfect for that. For crunch I combine it with a Radial Fullertone.
Lots and lots of headroom and a very tweakable tone. That tweakability can go wrong as there's room to go into the wrong direction. But the sound of the 15" is huge and very well suited when you prefer to dial in a slightly darker/deeper tone. By the way ... this amp is ideal to combine with a pedalboard.
Although it is a solid state amp thanks to the 15" it ain't a light puppy but the clean power it provides makes it the amp to humph around when you're playing without a main PA.
