This is a transistor amplifier that delivers about 75 watts RMS, the connection is complete enough (see test)
There are two channels:
A-clear with a boost (15dB) but does not allow the amp cruncher
Disto-channel with two distos
There are two types of distortion, a heavy sounding good already aggressive and the other even more wicked, more sharp and heavy to the foix (it's hard to describe)
The distortion channel has a voicing control for mediums, personal disliking his mid-scooped, I did not serve.
Remaining effects, which can not activate on each channel, is not very customizable, I think the anecdotes (his little TROUBLESHOOTING if one has no multi effects ...)
There is a spring reverb is also not tip top but hey, it's a reverb reverb!
Personally I think it's more than enough ...
For more accurate information, the site randall France is very full (more than me)
I put 8 because for me a crunch channel would have risen to 10 note, but good with good tuning and a little tinkering should be able to find crunches.
UTILIZATION
This amp is very clear, I had absolutely no problem finding sonoritées nice.
Just turn the knobs, very responsive without being too sensitive
I did not have the manual, but for use plug'n'play boat, no need!
The only problem I can not use the voicing ... well good.
SOUNDS
Personally, my field is the large modern thrash metal (soulfly, sepultura, machine head, etc ...) and harcore-keupon therefore it is perfect in it ... it is totally against the rock by 70 ', blues, jazz etc. is dead, the clear sound is not good enough ... sorry!
I have tried it with a Yamaha AES 520 D6 (like big black les paul), an OLP John Petrucci (but the 100 watt version of Randall), and the seller gave me a demo with John Petrucci musicman ( too expensive for me!)
-With the yamaha is plain round sweet and beautiful, nothing wrong, its a very dense, a good clean. In saturated excellent, a lot of punch while still heavy and very accurate to the foix, precision very nice solo or even with my low level guitar I could take my foot
With Olp-very soft and beautiful with clean, arpeggios sound divine but hey I am not an expert on clean, a lover of funk there probably not find his account.
In crunch (I found a crunch / overdrive, lowering the gain and master on the guitar) it sounds very good, very clean and a lot of punch (AC / DC goes well with the mill outright randall / PLO).
Distortion in the sound the most accurate / sharp for a good thrash-specific to the slayer sepultura roots before it's pretty huge!
With the musicman-you will not believe me but its far less well, distos are certainly very sharp, but the cleans were too loud and chattering, even for the funk!
(In addition to 2500 euros, 3100 euros all option, musicman, me!)
-I personally have not found anything like sound just awful, but I confess I'm not looking really ugly sound, however
-For me it's 10/10 for the metal at that price is amazing if you like transistor ...
After his amp is a little ployvalent, so 8 for non-nag, so average of the two = 9
OVERALL OPINION
-I did not buy, for lack of means, but I intend to make the acquisition as quickly as possible, and I would add comments to me as soon as I would have.
A sound-distortion high-powered, a clean too slammed for lovers of clean, one overdrive to find oneself.
My amp a two-drive (another world) an Ibanez valbee (which I keep for work at home, it is very good by the way, except for distortion!)
Otherwise I tried the marshall MG (I do not like at all! Horrible apart from the look of these amps have nothing!), The peavey bandit, much more versatile than the randall but less efficient in distortion, the cube Roland, too, another world even if the cube is cool to begin with, Vox Valvetronix (I do not like), a fender a foix (good but not suited to my style).
-Too expensive for me-_-but I find it a good bit too expensive in any case.
I do not know, I board not experience price for 15 days since I tried it
