This is at NAMM Show 2014 where Chandler Limited will debut the 500 version of its TG2 preamp.
The TG2–500 is a compact version of the Chandler Limited TG2 preamp/DI which had been designed to recreate the sound of the EMI TG12428 preamp used in the EMI/Abbey Road consoles in the late 60’s and early 70’s.
You’ll find on the TG2–500 the same frequency response as on the original, the same bump in the midrange and the same warm distortion.
For this, Chandler Limited used the same circuit, the same transistors and transformers as on the TG2. You get an input impedance of 300 and 1200 Ohms and between 10 and 60dB of gain.
Price and availability are still to be communicated.
