All user reviews for the Charvel CH5A

- Made in Japan between 1986 and 1991 (the good era for Charvel / Jackson MIJ what!).
- Channel 24 driver boxes Saddle quartersawn (has not seen but it is indicated in the catalogs Charvel in the late 90's Pm me!), Poplar wings (the standard at Charvel / Jackson in the late 80's 1998/1999 in fact, can be replaced by alder, with very similar acoustic CHARACTERISTICS).
- Rosewood fingerboard, pearl dot back, jumbo frets.
- Diapason 25 '1 / 2.
- Body and handle painted and varnished.
- Vibrato JT6 Jackson licensed Floyd Rose fine tuners are flat along the screw ropes. They do not gnent hand. Vibrato is the former Mount in non-recessed (flush with the table). It takes a lot of agreement, unlike my apprhensions! The vibrato arm clip fits securely via LowPro as for Ibanez. Too bad, it is not in position when the plastic ring wear begins (like Banez ...).
- On the MODEL I tried for a month with me (thank you nito @ Y!), Block-chords original t was replaced by a real nut / block-type string current R4 (former taient poss derrire a nut, which increases with time and wallows intonation and stability of the agreement).
- For electronics, nothing more simple and more "in your face": a volume, a humbucker in the bridge. L as a change, the old Jackson J95 humbucker (raisin bread) was replaced by a t DiMazio ToneZone DP155 (Alnico), more versatile and with a lower output level. In short, a little less heavy metal typ.

UTILIZATION

- The handle is in the spirit Soloist/JJ2 Jackson or Schecter C1 as Dinky / Ibanez Wizard: pais fairly round, good grip, it is quite enjoyable.
- ACCS to acute excellent (neck-through), even if the heel is not as chamfer on current Soloists. At least as well as on Banez SZ.
- Low action, no curling, a real highway that scrapes!
- The weight is pretty consquent (poplar is fairly dense, finally!), Heavier than a Schecter C1.
- Ergonomics is good trs, dcoupe stomach and muzzle to the forearm, the guitar is trs balance, all is well!
- The sound is direct, it's easy! A single sound, modular trslgrement via volume knob, no split and one humbucker, arduit sacrment the sound palette of the Wild!

SOUNDS

- With Micro Jackson J95 raisin bread, which was to spit in the 450 mV, a metal must be sacrment typ. It is also available with 2 humbucker (a J95B and active electronics with J90N Jackson J1000), the CH5, and a single coil hum 2 + active electronics (CH6).
