UTILIZATION

Stratocaster whose body is ash: 3.250kg on the balance ... rather reasonable for a 70s replica!
This is not a nitro lacquer but the poly is applied and finishes are nickels.
The handle "U" and the maple fingerboard provide comfort exemplary game and allows a quick game.
The bridge, once properly set is perfect: it does not move despite some abuse the tremolo.
Little detail on mine: the body is made in one piece. Veining is superb.

SOUNDS

A decidedly wild and aggressive guitar overdriven sounds. Amateurs R. Blackmore, you will be served!
The pickups are totally in the 70s mind ... sharp for the blues-rock / hard rock.
In clean, she graduated with honors. Bass more present than on a Strat "60s" and a bit more gain but it is no problem if you know how to use the volume knob.
Mine was equipped with a 5-way switch. No complaints.

OVERALL OPINION

It makes little time I have received at home but it has its place already now the wall ... and for a moment I think! It perfectly complements my '61 Strat equipped with Lollar Blonde, which itself sounds decidedly blues.

When I was young, in the last century, in the 90s, everyone (magazines, sellers) learnedly explained that Fender 70's were the shit. Nobody wanted and they stayed for months on display. Having little money, that is all I was able to offer me. My first electric guitar, a good old stratovolcano 1979 has been the original from which this model is based reissue.
Well, I can say that the reissue is what it claims to be, there is absolutely no difference between the old and modern!
However modern has two advantages: it is much lighter and the frets are new. When a guitar 70's we buy, we usually end up with frets that are just above the key, push like crazy for the last note, it is very unpleasant to play.

UTILIZATION

Channel U, round, thin and narrow enough in the early cases, as at the time. It facilitates crossed without preventing a clean Thurs The radius of the button may not appeal to everyone, it is clearly bulging! Be careful not to adjust the high E string is too low, the risk of seeing its bends shortcuts!

About the handle, some are put off by the three fixing screws, it is a figment of the imagination. It is neither better nor worse than a system with 4 screws, it does not change the sound, stability or maintenance agreement on the 79 as the reissue.

What is also significant is the quality of the wood grain of the body (in two parts) is really nice, rosewood of the key is very dark and the maple neck is super rigid: it does not move ! I did adjust the guitar once (when I bought it) and it has never moved. Moreover, it seems to me that the sleeves, made of rigid and well seasoned wood improve tuning stability. In fact, mine is satisfactory from this point of view (but hey ... it's still a stratovolcano!).

The hoop is really successful (it is far from Gibson and his square frets). The frets are thin and tall, quite far today but very fun to play standards. It's comfortable and it's just. Having played some time on a Fender Korean, I think the Made in USA is a better deal, despite what you may have heard: the woods are more stable, the frets are polished better, microphones have more character etc..

SOUNDS

Meanwhile, it is a stratovolcano (the scoop!) With its advantages and disadvantages (hum saturated).
Ash is a beautiful wood that provides deep bass and treble pearls and a good sustain, it feels good unplugged.
Microphones (the "Fender Vintage Style Alnico 5 Magnets") have character and grain (but little gain). They avoid the smooth side and a little tasteless strato 90s and 2000 (those that say so much better to "horrors" of the CBS years, fun to see the argus today ...). The bass has a sound wooded clean, Fluted saturated, the medium is ideal for slide and treble is aggressive and edgy enough for you dérouliez entire directory Blackmore or Yngwie. The two intermediate positions are also very flattering, especially when they are coupled with a vintage echo. The surly side of the bridge pickup in particular avoid the 4-position the feeble side I blame a lot of strats (saturated, there are many sound to Eric Johnson!).

OVERALL OPINION

Good stratosphere that keeps its promises and exchange '57 and '62 reissues endless! Try it if you love the old Fender to flee if you swear by Ibanez.
The new price seems excessive to me (in my opinion, no Fender should not exceed € 1,500: it is made from scratch at the factory, do not exaggerate!). On occasion, however, it is very good because is found, for the price of a standard, with a more polished original model, which delivers a more "spicy".

OVERALL OPINION

I use it for a few months and I am fan of good instruments, and I must say that this stratum was particularly seduced ... Its handle mapple aporte a conford games to none, except perhaps the 62 that remains for me the ultimate skyscraper. Cun bizare cap, between the C qet the U, but the handling is excellent.
The value for money is justified for such an instrument gamlme, the finish is flawless, delivered a magnificent flycase ds red black interior!
Yes I would do without hesitation that choice is an exceptional instrument, ts for aficionados of rock / blues.

This has to be one of my favorite reissue Fender Stratocaster guitars. It has the classic 70s headstock that is slightly a bit bigger than the normal Fender Stratocaster head stocks. I also like the feel and the comfort of the neck over the 5o's reissues or original Fender Stratocaster guitars. The look and the feel is classic and the pickups are even better than the standard ones in the Fender stratocasters, so overall this is probably the best offering that Fender has put together.

SOUNDS


What can you say about the tone of the Fender Stratocaster. It has a unique tone different from pretty much every other guitar that Fender has ever built. Very much different than the fender telecaster which has a good clean tone any unique sustain to it. This guitar features single coil pickups and though they sometimes can get a little buzzy and get the hum kicking, they still are a classic sounding rock 'n roll guitar. The clearcoat and transparent body with no paint is a classic look to this guitar. Rosewood fretboard helps balance out the highs that this guitar naturally has.

I suggest playing this guitar with a fender clean amp or even a Marshall plexi amplifier. You can get a great clean tone with a Fender amp where you can get a good rocking Jimi Hendrix type tone was the Marshall Plexi circuit amp. This guitar also sounds great when you have a digital delay in the mix as well as maybe some chorus or any other affect pedal that you might have or even a rack unit that you might have. These guitars take pedals very well and you can still hear the natural tone and beauty that this guitar has.

OVERALL OPINION

At nnew you can find these guitars right around $1300 online or in most guitar shops. I highly recommend anyone only Fender Stratocaster at some point. This is the kind guitar that can be passed down generation to generation and can stay in the family. It's a solid built American guitar and my absolute favorite guitar from the Fender Stratocaster reissues.

The Fender American Vintage Series '70s Stratocaster is one of my personal favorites out of the Vintage Series lineup. The guitar features an alder body with a maple neck and rosewood fretboard, 21 frets, a standard synchronized vintage tremolo, SSS configuration, one volume, two tone knobs and a five way switch.

UTILIZATION

The guitar felt great. I really enjoyed this neck for whatever reason. The only real gripe I had was the radius, but that's something I have with nearly every Fender out there. I'm much more of a flatter radius kind of guy as it allows me to bend further without fretting out. The fretwork on the guitar was pretty nice. There were no sharp edges, and the frets were crowned fairly nicely. The nut was also cut correctly which was a huge plus considering how Fender's QC can be a bit iffy at times.

SOUNDS

The guitar had that vintage sound going on for it in spades. The neck sounded very woody and vowely. The in between positions had a great quack going on, and the bridge was pretty killer sounding, albeit a bit bright. I never use the middle single alone, so I can't really comment on that. The guitar is fairly versatile overall in terms of its sound in that you can cover all kinds of different genres from jazz to rock. The biggest issue is that the singles are pretty noisy, so you'll have to ride your volume knob if you're playing at higher volumes.

OVERALL OPINION

I'm a big fan of these '70s strats with the bigger headstocks. They look great, generally sound great and they feel pretty awesome. The singles can be a bit bright at times, so you might want to look into swapping them if you're not a fan of bitey sounds. Play a few and choose the best out of the bunch if you can.

I thought I found the sound of a strat U.S. std barely changed, but the grain is really special, it differs from any other new strat U.S., certainly the best stratocaster U.S., I tried AVRI 57, 62 ... (AVRI: American Vintage Re Issue) and the 70's really sound, very distinctive blues-rock I was looking for a well powerful, full but also very sharp way Telecaster, I compare it to 79 and even a strat AVRI if my 70 'has not the years of seniority, she has a sound all its own that I love, try one and you crack if you like the sound of the late 60's and 70's (Hendrix, Clapton, SRV ...), the U.S. std strats are great guitars but lack of grain, it has already Vintage sound, its hard to talk about because it is subjective, but we must try to be sure! Mine is equipped with a kit from ACME Blender that mix the microphones and gives them an incredible range of sounds (also arrive to find the sounds I get on my little Fender Lead II guitar for excellent Moreover I have already praised the site). Vintage sounds great, no need to mofifier anything on this guitar (except the pickups selector 5 position and controls the acme kit that I highly recommend!), The original pickups made specifically for the sounds rreproduire 70's are great!
I read on some U.S. sites thought to be the owners the best strat (guitar new or recent, it means !)... well I also think my turn!

OVERALL OPINION

I own this guitar for several days, and I play and I love this beautiful strat I had a lot of beautiful and good guitar in the hands and I think recognize a good guitar when I hear and When I play, it is incomparable with other series guitars. The value for money is very good (although I always find too expensive guitars in all) for AVRI 70 'we pay the price but it was a real quality guitar which always surprise us out of such sounds!
I urge to try all those who do not know (very few seem to know in France, regardless of the opinion ... that is why I post mine!)
The highlights of this guitar finish, blues rock sound incomparable with other production models of Fender guitar that will age well with natural finish!
Weak point: its price and yet it is largely justified compared to the rest of the high-end production Fender.
