made in USA, in the original Fender factory in Fullerton (before moving to Corona). Mine is 83 (the fullerton are made between 82 and 84)

UTILIZATION

Handle (C) the most enjoyable I've ever met, ultrathin. Light guitar. o
You plug it sounds with character.

SOUNDS

Beautiful crystal clear sound, the neck pickup is a delight. Crunch is monstrous, one pushing the OD is rock and it sends. Tested on different tube amps, always sublime.

OVERALL OPINION

Used for 1 year, I wanted a nice strat also without the means to take a L and I tried a bunch. When I had it in hand I realized that I was going to take it.

They do not make the 62 reissue Fender 65 but that should be pretty close in spec.
The "fullerton" is for little more expensive than the current reissue except that it is the first reissue (it is said that at the time they went to look for retired workers to make them exactly as in 62, same technique , even builders), they have over 30 years which gives them a good head and suddenly it's not the same mojo ....

UTILIZATION

handle strat on love, or not
weight: yeah it weighs heavy
Sound: great if you want to play pink floyd or dire straits but also rock and roll and country music

SOUNDS

I have long been used with a small amp mesa boogie studio 22 and frankly it tore out the ears
crystalline sound is Magnificent

OVERALL OPINION

I use it for 19 years and it has not aged a day other than mechanical coating which has corroded but still effective in the tuning
