UTILIZATION

The handle is a wonder! Perfectly manufactured: frets well mounted, well polished. Satin varnish gives a really great touch. Rather used to handles more "manly" (including Gibson), I had to familiarize myself with (by playing a little more "soft") and once I had understood how to treat it, it was happiness. Access to acute is even easier than on strats "classic": a pounding at the neck heel provides improved more.
The ergonomics are perfect, perfect balance. This version "Ash" (ash body) is a little heavier than the current versions alder. I do not complain: too light guitars always leave me the impression of playing on a toy guitar. In addition, according to expert opinion, the ash has different and richer than alder resonant qualities. Pressed against her belly, we feel the wood vibrate. Nice!
We easily get the sounds you want: the knobs have a very good progression and the volume plays its role very well to dose saturation. Small "clicks" to the change in position of the selector 5 positions are almost imperceptible, ditto when the switches "S1" (the "hat" volume knob acts as a push button 2 position)

SOUNDS

With this guitar, we care about the style of music we want to do. It can go anywhere!
Whole range of sounds "classic" strats are obtained. I will not describe: This guitar is sufficiently known! Just a little note: it is still a little less typical than some strats. Do not expect, for example, have really-really the typical sound of some strats "vintage" deluxe american this seems a little more "wise", a little more "polished" a bit more "boilerplate" . How to explain in words sounds?? Is it due to the ash body? Or N3 pickups? or both? I do not know ... But it was still well and truly make a Stratocaster: undeniable eyes closed.
Comes more available the "S1" switch: it adds volume and gives a more rounded and creamy character to the sound (less treble, more bass and lower midrange). This is not a gimmick, it allows significantly expand the sonic palette of the guitar.
I mainly play on a 112 Combo Egnater Rebel and secondarily on a Laney Cub 12R upgraded with HP Cannabis Rex. On both amps? Great!
Good! we will not spend a hundred thousand years to describe this guitar sounds that have become legendary! It gives crystal clear sounds beautiful. Channel "drive" with a lot of gain, it may have "saturax" sharp enough (should still push the gain with humbuckers!) And in contrast with the "S1" engaged and the reinforcement of an overdrive pedal, compressed saturated and soft thanks to its excellent sustain. Sounds "Crunchys" intermediaries (for blues, for example) are dreaming.
With this guitar, you can browse all styles - almost - the blues-jazz to hard pressed enough - with the backing of a good distortion.

OVERALL OPINION

I use it just a few days, but very intensively! What a comfort to play on this guitar! and what sound palette! `
Note: we read here and elsewhere that a particular guitar would be "versatile". Hahahahahahahaha! This Strat is not at all! Why? versatile because in true French means "Who often changes of opinion, which is subject to sudden volte-face" (Larousse) and true French adjective does not have the same meaning as in English! So if we remain French (doodle-doo!), we rather say it is versatile. Go! do me a favor: speak good French, of the Yanks play music or britiches if you want, but keep the meaning of our language!

To give an overall summary:

The + + + + + + +:
- Finishes, aesthetics, manufacture: ma-gni-fic!
- The legendary Stratocaster its 95% ... with other soundscapes more
- Versatility
- The feel of satin handle
- Quality fittings (mechanical, vibrato holds well tuning and accuracy is fairly resistant to vibrato)
- No hum (the pickups are so-len-heaven a treat!)
- Good case

-------- The (very subjective!)
-. Delivered with ropes pulling 9 On the pitch, the tie rods 9 gave me an impression of rubber cords. Beautiful in my view deserves at least 10 rods to give it a little more "safe" and can "attack" a little more boldly! (The super-bullets pulling 10 bonifient sound: more sustain, more bite, more possibility of dynamic nuances)
- A slight lack of space inside the case for accessories.
- Nothing else! nothing else, I tell you!

This guitar is exciting. Should we add? :-))
