SOUNDS

This guitar is a nice look to classic American guitar. You can find these guitars played by some of the most famous musicians around the world. This particular one has a nice body paint on it that you don't always see around. the metallic paint shimmers and you change your viewing angle. The maple neck compliments the look of this paint job very well.

The tone of this guitar is an standard fender Stratocatser tone. It has a brilliance and color that can only be found in a Fender Stratoctaser. You can try to make it sound like a Gibson Les Paul but nothing you can do can change the way a Start sounds. This guitar when flipped to the neck position is that classic blues tone that so many artists has used in their recording and live applications. You get the volume kicked in a little and the gain taken down a little for a nice creamy blues based guitar tone. Something you would see John Mayer or Kenny Wayne Sheppard do quite a lot in their style of guitar playing.

OVERALL OPINION

You can pick these guitars up new right at around $999, which is a great price for an American made fender Stratocatser guitar. this is a player's guitar and not a custom or showroom piece. This guitar is meant to be played and played hard. It has a great whisper of elegance and loud aggressive voice that will make any amp sing.
