« Sweet tone »
Published on 01/31/12 at 08:58One of the first ways to beef up this guitar is by throwing in a hunbucker in the bridge pick up for it to get a nice beefy thick tone. This is called a super stressed style guitar. This is probably first created through the slow process of Eddie Van Halen's guitar tones through the early 70s. Since the evolution of the Fender Stratocaster there has been some other forms as well such as a hard tail version as well as different pick up arrangements and also different colors and wood combination's.
UTILIZATION
The Fender Stratocaster estimate one of the best sounding well balanced instruments out there today. Since its original creation it hasn't changed a whole lot as far as the body shape and features go, however there has been some updates to modernize instrument and several simple ways.
SOUNDS
The tone of the Fender Stratocaster doesn't change all that much. You can pretty much get the basic Stratocaster tone out of every single strat version that you've ever seen. A different size pick up such as humbuckers will give you a beef your tone compared to a single coil. However, the overall feeling in the sound of it will remain the same. The matter what you plug this guitar into his cause some fantastic night after night my favorite tone with a strat guitar has to be plugged into a four input Marshall Plexi. This style amplifier to me that coupled with a good analog or digital delay with a nice boost pedal and you're getting a great rock 'n roll tone.
OVERALL OPINION
You could find a Fender Strat pretty much anywhere you find guitar related to equipment. They usually float right around $1000 or so depending on what the features maybe. I highly suggest any guitarist out there because it's a great instrument and it's good for recording as well. If you need an instrument that is extremely versatile that will bring joy every time you plug it in and this has to be the instrument for you.
