USE

Is the handle enjoyable?
The handle is very pleasant, no worries on this side of. Because of its shape, it should really guitarists.

These guitars were all very convenient, but they do not really sounded like I wanted, whenever he lacked something. The '60 has really put a slap when I branch, it has a crazy dynamic, it looks quu'elle has me.

I leave you to check out other reviews to see the features. This is a Fender Stratocaster Custom Shop model Relic 60 color "Olympic White" for me. She is gorgeous, simply! The relicage is perfect, light enough but still visible and is not artificial. It really looks like a guitar that has been played for over 50 years.
Everything is vintage: Rusty bridge, vintage mechanical somewhat faded with time, handle 21 boxes to the old pads microphones slightly tarnished shield that verdi somewhat over time (it is between the green and white but it is not bad at all, on the contrary). In short, a totally vintage beauty!

UTILIZATION

It is the use that we realize the potential of the Relic 60.
The first round which promotes the game as through its C-shaped satin varnish as its most enjoyable. This is one of the best sleeves I played after almost 15 years of guitar. It is exceptional comfort and ease.
The body wood is extremely reasoning, the guitar vibrates everywhere and we feel the high quality of wood that make up this guitar! The weight is very content, mine is 3.3 kg, which is about average.
Moreover, ergonomics remains that of a Strat. Small flat-lock straps for little reassuring. I have therefore replaced by Schaller while treasuring the original ones.

SOUNDS

For my part, I think the sounds are not obtained in connection with the qualities of the violin. The pickups seem very artificial, with a marked aggressiveness when you put the volume knob of the guitar between 8 and 10. Fortunately, this dose perfectly since the knobs are very progressive.
Wiring, quality electronics, shades potentiometers, noise ultra-limited background ... Honestly can not fault much about this guitar except the sound of mics that I find really too aggressive. The neck and middle pickups get more out ok but the bridge is practically unusable past 8 on the volume knob.
Even the hardware is excellent! The guitar holds good agreement even after intensive use of the bridge, vintage tuners are rather accurate.

OVERALL OPINION

What a pity for these mics ... Basically, I took this guitar on a whim, I looked for a good Strat and I chose it after see some tested. Initially, I found excellent and gradually her, I'm tired of this aggression.
I also have a more conventional American Stratocaster (Highway 1) and I proceeded to replace its microphones there shortly. Since then, I do not touch my almost 60 Relic is yet much better, but the sound is not as good as Highway 1, without lying.
I love this guitar and will not be able to bring myself to sell it. However, I think a change of micro able to resolve the problem.
I would do 100 times this choice because this Relic 60 is nevertheless an excellent guitar. However, it is not exploited to its fullest. I feel constrained by the original pickups. I do not know the references used by Fender Custom Shop pickups surely, but I do not like at all. Purists will be outraged but I think there are far superior to Fender Custom Shop pickups for a ridiculous price ...

With this guitar, you have a vintage fender, finally making good on my JCM900 rglages my body double, I have the same sound, M-playing with a strat SERIES 64 L on some tracks
"I actually changed by the lutthier slecteur 3positions by a 5-position, it comes with when it achte nothing to break the vintage look, what a surprise !!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I have a range of more standard sounds! With the neck position / environment I sound approaching carrment David Gilmour (Pink Floyd) with the middle position / I have a bridge approaching its pretty expensive microphones Texas Stevie Ray Vaughan! It was well worth the opration. The Lutthier really work clean.

-What I remember most is the handle, the dpart I wanted to buy a Start Deluxe, j'tais prt qq buy it by day, when I saw this MODEL color Sunburst Yellow, red and black is no longer done by Fender Vintage MODEL forces, which is the color of my guitar prfre, I found too good ! But when I saw labeled 4085, I have less ri ... I was the seller in the pocket so I wanted to try just to see what has given even when ... then the rvlation, c'tait all I could RVer better! Test on a Fender Hotrod Deluxe lamps. That sound! but what sound! And the sleeve could be beginners, fingers along the spin boxes! I try to rglages in every way, it sounds as hell, and each has its own color rglage diffrent other. So I knew what to do, the price drove me wild, I have not slept all night doing calculations in my head whether I could take a crdit the diffrence with the price a deluxe ... APRS two days I was playing with me: D
Qualitprix-good report ... ca is nothing to do with it when the price achte is that we are really in love

Guitar made by Fender's Custom Shop in Corona, USA.
The body is alder, flamed maple neck and rosewood fingerboard Madagascar, the polish is nitrocellulose.
The handle is in C, although it takes slightly more as a U as the handle of a classic Start U.S.. 21 medium frets were polished divinely.
The pickups are specific to this model and are not sold (to my knowledge) only.
The rest is the classic Strats, 1 volume, 2 tone, 5 position selector, an American Vintage Synchronized Tremolo vibrato and mechanical vintage that take very good agreement (yes!).

The guitar comes in a quality case of a color is inspired by the Dachshund washed out.

I took mine in Vintage Sunburst 3-tone (yellow / red / black) finish Relic.
FYI, here are the trim levels of the Custom Shop:
-NOS (New Old Stock): like new
-CC (Closet Classic): slight signs of wear
-Relic: pronounced wear
-Heavy Relic: wreck

UTILIZATION

AAAhhhhhhh! Is the handle is nice?
Well yes! I was a little scared at first contact because I found the polish too thick but after 2 minutes of use I realized that they know what they do at Custom Shop. Back to my classic Start U.S. after going through the Custom Shop reminds me every time. It's a massacre.

The weight is perfect and it can take hours of standing without feeling any pain.

Ergonomics is the Stratocaster, perfect for me.

There is something exciting with this guitar, I appreciate it more every time (and my friends, besides my brother in law that there was no interest from a U.S. conventional ended by buying one!).

SOUNDS

Be careful what you are looking for because the sound is very distinctive. I got mine back of the new continent (it's still much cheaper) without ever having tried this model and without really knowing the sound and I was surprised when I connected. I played on a Fender SuperSonic 22 to stay in the mind and if I had more talent, I would take to Hendrix!

The sound is banging in all positions, so that the microphone is acute only difficult to use for anything other than funk.
I rediscovered the positions 2, 3 and 4 that I do more with my other Start and sounding so well here.

OVERALL OPINION

I use the guitar for one month and I play on Start for 10 years so I know enough about the subject.

This is the guitar of a lifetime, even if it does not cover all records and is not sufficient, I could not do without.

The quality of the instrument is flawless, the finish is exemplary, the woods are very very very well selected, we are in the high end.
The reliquage is very well executed, even the smell of the guitar is intoxicating and the 3-tone sunburst with yellow if .. Yellow ... irresistible.

So yes, of course, Fender has to be a nice margin on this instrument and it is difficult to justify the price but if you find a good plan, go for it!
