Rq:
republication Mexico has the same pickups (at least the name) but did not even acastillage. Vintage mechanical, 21 frets and vintage vibrato bridge.
UTILIZATION
The neck is a typical fender so great tune and great fun to play. The vibrato can be used without worry, the guitar is super good agreement. Access to acute is standard.
It may be lack of a split humbucker
SOUNDS
whaou that happiness, the sound certainly fender! but I would say even better now! the texas special are a tad more bite more punchy, top excited for the blues! I have never heard other guitars that sound as well, I've had 11 years I never get tired (though I play non-stop over). I tried other fenders, they ring it is on top but I prefer mine! Plus I think the build quality is just top the lonestar better than the American standard now anyway!
To return to sound, the neck pickup is just beautiful! that happiness, its specific heat for the top ultra expressive solo and rides his crystal clear! middle pickup is punchy and is great for rock solos. The bridge pickup is anything but aggressive, he has a warm, round. Ideal for blues rock edgy but also for the metal. I swear to the metal with it sounds harsh.
Intermediate positions are loyal to his fender out of phase. In the neck position / environment it seems to be playing hendrix little wing!
OVERALL OPINION
What's more, this guitar I'm in love, I never part with it for the world. One day she fell and his head split open, I cried ... of course since it is repaired, I have not waited elsewhere whatever the price! There she is again at the luthier for refrettage, I miss her ...
I changed my amp recently, and I took my guitar to go around the shops. I always remember the face of a vendor when I took it out. He was recognized and direct all crazy. So he plugged in quickly to show me the amp settings and could no longer pick up the guitar!
Truly a gem of fender! he should repeat as is not at least make a version of cost.
