« The Stratocaster perfect. »
Published on 01/02/12 at 09:02Fender Stratocaster made in 1964 in the United States.
Bridge Fender "synchronized tremolo" maple neck / rosewood fingerboard, 21 frets, 3 single pickups, one volume, one tone set, a middle tone.
selector mine is a 5-position, and I changed the pickups for a set of Van Zandt Blues.
UTILIZATION
The neck is the most enjoyable I have ever try: its radius gradually that it is flat at first, then it goes to the more rounded treble. Ergonomics is one that is expected of a Stratocaster: it remains one of the best designed guitars. Mine is mild and can be reached relatively easily the most acute frets.
Sometimes lack a 22 th fret, my only regret. But this is not what is expected of a vintage Stratocaster!
The Fender vibrato in my opinion is a brilliant invention: correctly set, and once the strings mounted properly, it is very good agreement, allowing me to both learned to dive like Jeff Beck to Eddie Van bombs Halen!
SOUNDS
This layer seems to suit all styles of music. The Lindy Fralin pickups mounted above the purchase seemed weak and thin, I have therefore changed to a trio of Van Zandt Blues, on which I left a notice.
We can do blues, rock, jazz, funk, hard and even heavy metal such as microphones have a punch. I play a Fender Blues Junior, but I had the opportunity to play many different amps. All sounds are beautiful, balanced, easily malleable, in short, everything you would expect of a good guitar! She comes to stay versatile despite his strong personality, with its exceptional violin.
OVERALL OPINION
My L-series, probably sunburst originally was stripped and repainted in bright yellow. The knockouts were performed to allow the installation of two humbuckers. Then an owner to taste some more stripped all the paint, then presented a plaque of wood to reconfigure S / S / S as the source. My copy looks a lot like the photo at the top of the page.
I use it for several months now. I knew it was her first contact as the handle was perfect. I love everything about this instrument. The value for money is indecent on models entirely original, as in most large vintage guitars, even if the price of excellence.
Because of changes made to mine, I was able to acquire it for 3800 euros, which is less than some Custom Shop Relic current course incomparable results!
I would do, of course, this choice without hesitation in the same circumstances!
