UTILIZATION
I have small hands, and the handle is fine with me. It is rather round, but very fast I think. This is a nice super mapple! The weight of the guitar is fairly substantial, heavier than standard, but very well balanced, never painful for the shoulders. Access to the treble? Well, it's a strat, so easy! She sustain sick, not even connected! The mini arm vibrato is very convenient, accurate hyper, thank you David! The mini toogle switch lets you specify the config microphones and therefore multiplies the possibilities of different sounds (even if access is not super easy, placed as it is: I struggled to remember its position and automate my gesture, but hey, get used to it!)
SOUNDS
Ben ... this is THE sound Gilmour, whatever the song! A good distortion, a little overdrive, a good delay and go! Really, compared to my strat U.S. before, this is the day and night. These three microphones selected by the custom shop and Mr Gilmour are really good and especially marry well.
But I think we just play anything on this guitar, just to mess with the switch positions 5 and toogle to find the sound that suits you! Really impressive ...
OVERALL OPINION
A year that I have, and I'm still admiring the first day. I had the chance to buy a guitar collector who has hit at the time of purchase, but then allowed to sleep for 3 years (it is part of the 500 aftershocks, those with the handle of a honey color, fall!). So I lapped quietly and I felt open, the sound is colorful, has further increased sustain. The frets were also made (hard to play at the beginning) and the handle is now super nice and quick.
This is a guitar that I will not leave until I swallow or my birth certificate (as said San Antonio!). Some say it is a bit expensive, it is better to make one yourself: Well I ask to see. Because to get this quality workmanship and the quality of sound, unless you be yourself full luthier to have, I do not see how you get there. And if you get there, you'll be the same price at 200 euros or 300 near ...
For super fans from fans, there is the relic version, but there it is true that it is very expensive, for the same benefits that this version NOS.
