Published on 10/27/06 at 15:00I started playing three years ago. I played hard rock but now i just love to sit and imrovise. I play alot of classic stuff like vivaldi too. this guitar sounds great when i play classic music .
I bought this guitar in in a local store in Israel. I paid about 600$ for it. I know it sells for about 400$ online but but it worth way more than that
It's perfect for musicians who play music similar to Metallica and Trivium because of it's heavy sound. The neck is very comfortable so its easy to play fast stuff on it.
the only thing i don't like about it , its changing the stirng .it takes too long!!the pick ups aren't that great for the clean sound.

the body is painted very well , the black color is beautiful. the guitar is lite and easy to play while standing. the neck is smooth. the wammy bar is great ,no matter how long you use is the strings stay tuned.the only problem is that my volume switch fell a couple of time.
Musicians who play heavy music got to have a Jackson DXMG, cause you can't play heavy with a fender!

Published on 11/07/05 at 15:00I played 15 years ago, quit, took up drums for the last 10 years, then realized how easy the guitar was again...and space issues help that decision.
$445.00, Guitar Center...I have always loved Jackson's but have never owned one, so I purchased the best one I could afford that had all the classic Jackson features: reverse headstock, sharkfins, tremolo, comfortable body, and of course quality.
I enjoy the neck and the body as far as comfort goes. I love the looks, however I'm sure someone liked the Yugo also. I like the locking tremolo it is easy to maintain. The EMG's sound great and are a nice step up from the lower models.

Nothing has yet surprised me, although I wish it had seperate volume and tone for the pickups.
Construction is good and no problems yet with the quality.
I enjoy the guitar, wish i could afford a soloist.

Published on 11/13/04 at 15:00I bought this guitar from good vibrations. i needed an agressive to satisfy the metal-head in me guitar and i hated my Epiphone les paul gothic. I got this guitar 2nd hand for $1500.
I own an Ibanez s series and it is mellow. mellow looking, mellow tone. this guitar is the polar opposite. it looks like the spawn of satan and has a sound to match. the floyd rose tremolo unit is great, and the low action is perfect for spewing death metal riffs. it has screaming highs and growling lows (thanks to the EMG pickups its loaded with) and pinch harmonics are a dream to execute.
Never ever attempt to play mellow music on this guitar. its would be like getting satan to go to church....…

Never ever attempt to play mellow music on this guitar. its would be like getting satan to go to church. un-distorted, the sound is just above average. distorted however, it excells.
There is no pickguard, so if you arent careful you may scratch the paint. the black colour shows fingerprints easily. aside from this the guitar is so sturdy you could knock an elephant out with it.
Bottom line, this is the perfect metal guitar. divebombs, tapping, palm muting. the guitar practically does them for you. If you are a die hard fixed bridge fan, get a gibson, otherwise, this is all you really need.

Published on 05/19/03 at 15:00I paid 299.99 at musicians friend, they must of had a overstock on them, This is a great guitar, and it was just what i wanted at the time.
I like the whammy bar, the unfinished neck plays real smoothly, and although a lot of people bash HZ's mine sound good, and they would probably sound a lot better if i didnt play through a rogue amp. The inlays are sweet too
the only complaint that i had was that if i turn my volume knob all the way up it cuts out, but its not such a big problem anymore, unless im doing swells. also one of the mounting screws for my whammy bar came out, but that was just because i was trying to put more springs on. and It might be nice if they had it in other...…

It is very well built and a great metal guitar.
I was looking through the musicians friend catalog and this guitar was the only one that said best seller, take that Fender!!!!!
