- Floyd Rose Licensed (entitled "Special floyd rose" which could be misleading in terms of copyright). However, it is very good.
- 27 frets: what could pass for a gadget is finally not be one. Indeed, many guitarists are frustrated by the lack of accessibility and sustain the end of the stick ... the problem is largely resolved on this guitar.
- The body is solid mahogany type Super Start shaped and cut for maximum comfort
- The neck is maple and I said through (always sustain this story). It is one of the many highlights of this gem. It is thin (less than an ibanez) and will pay tribute to all fans of shredding while satisfying the "rhythmicians"
- The pickups: Seymour Duncan's, generally guarantee of quality. short, we find a SD Custom 5 (or TB-14) in bridge and a SHR-1 Hot Rail in the neck position. They are also and split.
- A 3-position selector, one volume knob (in shades which are well marked) and one tone knob so splittable.
In short, we do not know but it was immediately liked.
UTILIZATION
The handle is a highway (more than the MH-350 or ibanez jackson but less than in the same price range). He is super nice and very versatile (much more than an ibanez). The tapping, string skipping sweeping and other pass like a letter in the mail. The soft rhythmic, arpeggio or more tonic (as in clear that saturated) does not pose any problems.
This guitar metal type was actually designed to be versatile and successful full test. If the handle allows all conceivable tricks, access to acute is to break your ass down. The reason is threefold: profiling the neck, 27 frets and the neck-through. Moreover, it greatly helps improve sustain (admittedly lost a bit by the floyd but the quality of the latter not to be outdone, he forgives all.)
For his ... people come in the next section.
SOUNDS
Another strong point of this guitar (which I also seek the weak point eventually). Once again the versatility that I will eventually find the following means: LTD MH-327!
The neck pickup (Sh-1 hot rails) can be tested in many styles: Blues, Jazz ... In the crunch, the sound is clear and quite round. IN extreme saturation, it retains the same qualities. It could, however, a (relative) lack of small fish.
The bridge pickup (Custom 5) is a killer! Made for metal, its sharp, precise, quick. I cover 'léoge for metal while it is obviously less versatile than the other.
I use this guitar on an old Peavey Bandit 112, which has its faults and qualities. I immediately could measure the difference in sound with my other guitars (an Ibanez RG 370 and a Kramer Striker) mmême if the price is differet course. The LTD can also draw quintessence of my multi-effects: a BOSS ME-70.
OVERALL OPINION
I use it for 2 months. Before opting for this beast I tested a few guitars in the same price range and, from a distance, the LTD MH-327 stood out clearly against: LTD MH-350 (and its active pickups too typed metal my taste and anyway the 327 was superior in many respects), the Jackson DK2M the CORT EVL-K6, various Ibanez in the same price range.
What I like about this guitar is its look! She really out of the mouth, a nice color (I chose the red veining of exposed wood) and gives an impression of solidity. Neither too heavy nor too light, it fits all situations.
The price / quality ratio I think is very interesting. We preque (I said almost) the premium rate for a low average range.
When asked whether I should repeat the same choice ... It is clear that yes, we love what!
