When I was out shopping, I spent almost half of a day going between guitars. I tried all from the high end models to some of the lower end models, but kept coming back to the Elite 006.

Two things ..... I do wish it had a tremelo. I don't use the whammy bar, but with a few deft gestures of the palm, you can squeeze a little extra milage out of the note. One other caveat- I usually try to buy American. This is made in Korea, but "set up" in the United States. I would feel a little bit less queasy if I knew all my money went to Americans. Whatever they are doing however, they are doing it right.

The visual aspect of this guitar is impressive. Fine lines and careful attention to detail. Beautifully endowed in a see through Black Cherry finish polished to a mirror shine. Black hardware adds a classicly tasteful ambience. It has a Duncan Design single coil pickup at the neck, and a Duncan design Humbucker at the bridge. It comes furnished with a Tune-o-matic bridge, and Grover tuners. These Grovers are a Godsend to those of us inclined to "smear" the strings. (Hendrix woulda' loved it) This guitar is solidly built with quality being paramount in implementation. The humbuckers can scream with the best,deep and fat in tone, and seem to enjoy it the more you push 'em. The single coil purrs sweetly or trills brightly according to which end of the spectrum you are inhabiting at that musical moment. The main word that comes to mind sonically is presence. This guitar doesn't mumble. For the price, nothing can approach this guitar in substance. I own an American Standard Strat, and a "Big Apple" Strat. Both quality instruments. I would put this guitar, quality wise, (sound and construction), right up there with them.

For the price, you just can't do better. This guitar is a quality instrument. I am thrilled with mine. I feel like I've swindled someone. It's that sweet

Fixed bridge, the strings pass through the body (see photo).
1 master volume, 1 tone generally a 3-position selector.
Mahogany body with Flamed Maple top "of any bôôôôôtééé".
Micor Duncan Designed HP103 (Duncan SH6 in acute and severe in SH2).

UTILIZATION

Access to acute nice, last frets easily.
Good weight, but not excessive, very good balance.
With the set neck, sustain that lasts for hours!

SOUNDS

My style of music being the funk metal, I enjoy fishing the scratches.
Micro Acute very clear, micro serious tendency to "bleed" a little too much for my taste
I love the middle position, which sends any remaining potato accurate.

I like the crunch sounds somewhat saturated for casseroles and there I found my happiness!
Already on the Pod, it sounds so I can not wait to test on my Engl Screamer!

OVERALL OPINION

I bought it the day before yesterday and I already spent two nights with
I was looking for a real guitar for a while, rather Gibson SG, but I had no budget
I took advantage of a good discount, making it a good value in this range medium-high end

[edit of 19/04/2005] after a lot of concerts, I must say I am completely satisfied, just some basic settings and start again on the road!

View the previous opinion ... mine was more a push-pull on the knob tone that splits both pickups obviously .... it doubles the number of configs, very friendly. Beautiful finish, and the silhouette of the beautiful is very successful (that is subjective Oke: o)

UTILIZATION

Channel pleasant, neither too large nor too flat, a little strato-style ... Without access to acute problem, the set neck allows a great heel work. Selector position requires a period of adaptation, you really go and get a little behind the knob volume .... about the pots, their race really is not progressive, the change in volume or tone occurs on the first 45 degrees and then it does not change anything: o (At equilibrium, the guitar is a curiously heavy coat of handle, it does not interfere with the game (must avoid a strap that slides anyway) but can be felt in a case when it is carrying.

SOUNDS

The combinations of sound are all interesting. In doubles, the bridge pickup provides nickel distos large, the neck pickup is in tip-top of the greasy blues, although round, between the two it sounds good too. Split, it sounds simple microphone, screaming for the bridge pickup, neck pickup for smooth, funky and just right for the middle position: o) I thought I'd quickly change the pickups, but eventually I'll keep them, they are excellent quality.

OVERALL OPINION

I scratched the last ten days, and after two rehearsals she conquered me, it's a great guitar, more versatile than a Start, more modern look (I crack on its design), very good violin, fully set to receive. I recommend without reservation, they are strong in Schecter!

UTILIZATION

This guitar really well to play!
it is light (even though ....) mahogany looks a hair of the head but a bit ....( what)
the handle and it is really special like a stratum in a hair larger (with my personal hand is perfect!)
we arrive easily to the 24 frets very well!
9 cose has hair! On the head ...

SOUNDS

They are ideally suited to my style (not at the level of form!)
Then I use a single head grinding masa with 2 * 12 Marshall v30 + CV
so I must say that we obtain what we seeing ....
this guitar and a rare versatility that this is the moment many knob volume and tone and the push / pull
saturation level is good (a bit brouillion ... there are those who love so it's not a default) if we decrease the gain becomes very simpa pickup for rock
clear sound! neck pickup really very crystal-clear in the minds fender! from blues to funk all happening!

I change the personal configuration micro because I played in a group of neo metal and I falait a bit more precision so I have a Seymour Duncan SH6 caller (which is not seen in the picture (yes it is mine!))

OVERALL OPINION

I use it for 6 months now!
it is a very versatile scraper with a style that changes of strata and other lespaul!
level of the violin is very good!
I vote for the price not what I took to another (buy 750 euro)
