I have been playing the guitar for about five years.
I bought this guitar new at Guitar Center for about $350, but I have gotten better and bought a Gibson SG, but this is a fantastic beginner's guitar. I bought it because I loved Squiers, and when I first saw this guitar, it made all the other beginner guitars on the wall look cheap (Other Squiers and Epiphones etc.).
The tone of this guitar is good. For a Squier, it's amazing! The guitar felt great at the time, but I like that Gibson and Epiphone feel more, because it has a fatter neck, which is my preference, but it feels fantastic for Fender and Squier lovers. The electronics are solid, and the guitar is easy to play.
There are a couple things I don't like about this guitar. When I purchased this guitar and brought it back home, it needed a setup. The E, A and G string were buzzing and were always getting out of tune when I bended them and played chords with the guitar. Also, when you first buy the guitar, the strings need to be replaced with better ones, because the standard ones are not so great.
For a Squier, the quality of this guitar is unheard of. It is made with decent materials. The pieces fit together pretty well, but one of the knobs fell off a week after I played the guitar. I would worry a bit if I dropped this guitar. but not too much. The wood is awesome quality for a Squier!
Great guitar for the money, a beginner's dream. It was worth the money, and good value. Change the strings when you first buy the guitar, and a setup!
