Squier Standard Stratocaster

STC-Shaped Guitar from Squier belonging to the Standard series

Paul'o Paul'o

«  Quality Fender Squier price! »

Published on 05/15/11 at 10:50
Made in Indonesia
Bridge says "knife" only modern Strat (= floating movement front and rear)
Maple neck (I have the stick-colored)
21 frets, 3 pickups with 5 position selector pickups.

UTILIZATION

The handle is very comfortable to play, access to acute I find is very easy!
And it still sounds excellently on the last of the E string!
The guitar is perhaps a bit heavy, but it gives me the impression of having good stuff ;-)

SOUNDS

The sound has really stuck! Issued by Eb I found all the sounds of SRV, Hendrix and Knopfler! To return to its typical Fender (round sound of the strings), you may prefer the second (major) and fourth (high) ;-) Otherwise it is amazing to play, whether you put your amp into overdrive or clean. ..

OVERALL OPINION

It's been a while since I played the guitar, but after two years I was getting bored on my semi-hollow (Ibanez) ... I then found someone to share this cons Start (with bonus money !)..."
"And the sound of his voice ... Waaaoow"
What really amazed me his Fender from a Squier! A remarkable finish at any point: 3 ply pickguard (!!), bridge of high quality (usually mechanical), perfect intonation ...
I who had stopped at a little guitar, I see my level improving day by day!
It is perfect for anyone who wants to play SRV, Hendrix, etc. ...

Another surprising is the Squier Classic Vibe 50's, both amazed me! In any case I'm not ready to sell!

I just found this, which proves the quality of finish: "In the end Squier - Fender, we are here between Affinity and Fender Mexican. The Affinity is too rough in the finish, and global manufacturing Avoid.
Fender Mexico cons, it's great but still much more expensive. If your budget is there, it's the Squier Standard Stratocaster you! "
