UTILIZATION

The main advantage of the guitar is its weight and that's also the reason I bought it.

The machine heads look good at first sight but their shape present some disadvantages. They are slippery when you sweat. And get dirty pretty quick. They are not compatible with string winders. I replaced the original low E tuner with another machine head to quickly tune the guitar in drop D.

in the beginning, the color changing LED is stunning but it's silly to make a battery compartment in the guitar only for this feature. And on top of that the toggle switch is difficult to use. I replaced the volume control and the toggle switch.

SOUNDS

Interesting sound! The pickups sound good considering the price. I don't like the bridge pickup a lot because it has not enough punch compared with the neck pickup. The clean sound is nice but the distorted sound shows that the pickups have not enough definition.

The pickups are soap bar sized (I mention it in case you plan to upgrade them).

I play with a Vox AC30 CC1, a TC Vintage Predrive and a JMB Devil Inside.

OVERALL OPINION

Almost one year. The weight is the main advantage.

I bought it on the web so I didn't try any other guitars when I bought it. I previously owned about twenty different guitars (no high-class instruments).

I would buy it again because it has no competitor in its weight or price range. I don't like the "ipod" design. Even on the black model (like mine) the binding looks cheap. Machine heads, toggle switch and control must be upgraded.
