this one week I try to set it on a micro Southwestern strat that I love but which, of course, lacked a "je ne sais quoi".

I have a strat Levinson Blade 1993 R2 (ash body, rosewood fingerboard) on which I had already changed the pickups there a few years ago. It was better but still not that.

After reading many glowing reviews on micro Tornado MS, I met Marc Aimar at the show "Guitar the belfry." He made me try different strat pickups mounted on guitars and my choice was the "strat'50s" model. (By the way I played on his amps that are really amazing, it's more expensive than models "factory" but when you play it you know why!)

Finally after a long discussion about what I wanted, he asked me to rewire the guitar "old", turning the VSC (active electronics), armor plate, mount new knobs (250k including a no- load for tone), mounting a 50's set but with the micro bridge a bit 'wound'.

Results beyond my expectations: the sound of strat, the real one loves: bright but warm, dynamic but never aggressive! Sound "live", this, which works very well as a group (the other musicians did not return during the first rehearsal) without necessarily having to increase the volume of the amp. The neck and middle pickups sound exactly as expected on a strat and the bridge pickup is only really usable, perfect for me because not aggressive! The no-load knob is really a plus with these mics, it provides what you want, whatever the position of the selector, I do not regret active electronics useless with these pickups.
Short of that happiness for a month!

Pros: sound, very reasonable prices (all this work for not even the price of my old set of microphones), the hospitality and professionalism of grounds: it is a passionate craftsman, we can talk for hours about guitar with him, he knows a "ray"!

Owner of a Mexican Strat, the pickups did not satisfy me. They sounded too modern for my taste. Passionate old blues (Hubert Sumlin, Robert Cray ...) I was looking for more subtle microphones, clearer and with more character. First facing other products, I then discovered Tornado MS. At first, I got in touch with its founder, Mark, to ask his advice. It was very well able to meet this demand. In addition, he suggested me to try different mics. For such professionalism, I did not hesitate a second to order him a set of 50's single-coil pickups. Marc has installed itself, taking care to make all the changes and adjustments. It's custom. Once prepared my strat, I could try it again and it was another instrument. Exactly what I was looking for. Need to search on the internet of the new hardware, I now have what I need.
In conclusion, the pickups are excellent, the sound is clear, slamming, well defined, not garish, very organic, fingers as a pick sounds are breathtaking (completely absent from elsewhere, like parasites ).
The benefit is a very high quality (it should be a normal and not extraordinary fact) and all for a very reasonable price more challenging competition.
One regret though: do not be left with an amp made by Marc, but that's another story.

J was looking microphones for my fender when I came across the site of micro tornadoes ms. After reading many reviews I took my phone to make an appointment with the manager marc. I came across a person al, listening to my desires, who took the time, my guitar and try to advise me on my choice of pickups. j After discussions, I left my guitar for replacement microphones, capacitor and volume pots and tone for the sum of 283Euros. A week after day, I recovered a transfigured with his guitar for an incredible wealth. J've owned Fender Texas Special pickups and forward Lindy Fralin vintage hot and strength to recognize when France is known also make great microphones that its top for me and those I, have owned.

I have a Fender Strat Deluxe Roadhouse Texas special-mics, I found the sound hollow and bland!
After reading the comments on the microphones in general and in particular tornado ms forums, I contacted Mark. A very pro home really and last but not least really nice and not shopping for round 2 and by that I mean not the kind to push consumption!

After qq exchanges, Marc directs me to the 50s that I received 3 days after order.
And there! but and there! just bomb ... my strat has transformed a snapping sound and deep, crisp and hot.

Truly a pleasure. I finally feel they have a really good guitar.

I mounted two single Tornado MS '50s on a Stratocaster HSS alder, maple neck, fitted with switch S1 (additional serial positions in particular).
I found the SNA too straight and goes everywhere.
The wiring was a good galley: switch S1 has 12 pins and super switch that goes with it has 20 pins. If it again I will leave it to a luthier or a guitar tech.

In any case, once the microphones wired and connected to their promises ...

The sound output is very nice. Balanced while being full of harmonics (no wax). It is even slamming lowering the tone (orange drop). Never aggressive. The switch S1 brings additional configurations series totally usable and very interesting.
I think these pickups really put forward the ability to squirt strat notes. Casserole or lead dynamics is breathtaking.

Note that this kind of microphone (in wound) are often settled high enough to see really high.

I won the most classic and typed sounds and also inspiring and alive. In addition to the vintage character of these microphones obviously, I think their acoustic properties are superb.
The seriousness of the manufacturer is also noteworthy. Marc responds to emails, take the time to educate their clients, offers good delivery.

I have a U.S. standard strat (2011) with a maple handle everything. I bought it new and I found the original pickups a little bland, without much character ... with a bridge pickup too loud in my VOX. In short, it sounded good but not enough for my ears demanding.

So I started looking for the perfect kit. In my wanderings on sandstone AF, I do not have to miss dozens of rave reviews on microphones MS Tornado: hand-wound with materials of the time, all made in France ... the what class.
After listening and re-listening to the samples of the kit "late 50's" available on the site, I have nothing bad to say ... it is sublimely beautiful. So I contacted Mark in a minute, and I ordered a kit (orange drop and a capacity to replace the original ceramic capacity). Kit received super fast and all was set up by my luthier few days later (which was also very surprised by the quality of the microphones).
Result: it rocks all! Honestly, if you think about upgrading your strat 'by offering new pickups, go for it without hesitation!

The sound is perfect, very balanced. Each microphone has its very character which offers a range of possibilities. My strat is transformed. Now I really feel to have a strat 'exception!

His was a long time I wanted to make me a strat, especially in a maple neck. So I mounted a body ALLPARTS alder, a beautiful flamed maple neck wdmusic, electronics RSguitarwork condo with jensen and careful shielding, and Callaham vibrato MECAS SPERZEL.
For the selection of mics, I stumbled upon an ad zikinf, and after some discussion with Mark, we reached agreement for a set 50's who was supposed to cope very well with maple handles well out by the " slamming ".

Well the least we can say is that it's true. The Strat has numerous possible sound. This set is never aggressive and always musical, and responds very well to tone knobs and volume. So the sonic possibilities are endless.

I was even surprised by their excellent light crunch and even saturated, I have a DIY Diefet, a simulation of Diesel VH4 amp, and I said we should try. Well in bridge pickup, it is particularly well the big win, with beautiful harmonics ... In short, amazing.

I am very satisfied, I end up with a strat sounding at all levels of saving, always musical and dynamic, and I think that's what is expected of this instrument recommend.

What I like most is the sound of slamming Vintage Strat, I brought up these pickups on a Strat Mexican edition 50, daphne blue, well this is the same guitar.

The least:? by yet found!

How would you rate the quality / price?
With experience, you do again this choice? ...

The value for money is simply very good, I seek his vintage Strat and Marc Ms Pickup advised me to put a microphone kit 50 S that the handle of my guitar is a mapple, he assured me of having a slamming her, but not acute edged screaming in acute as is often the case on micro industrial!

I waited before putting a notice to try it on a lamp amps fender hot rod deluxe high volume without effect just guitar and amp with some reverb, just a killer result, the microphones high volume give sounds I had never had before and allow interventions guitar much more present and especially it's just good to the ears ........... in short with these pickups have is in another category of gear for amateur true vintage sounds, to put in the hands of guitarists who like guitars that lead us automatically to the nuances of sounds, playing without ever losing a beat.

I remake that choice without hesitation, in fact I think take a set micro L series
MS Tornado pickup, to put on another one of my strats but with a rosewood handle. I ressayé my other strat, but it is now that I've tasted
