I bought this kit to replace the micro original pickups for a strat made in mexico 92/93. I also took the opportunity to replace the electronics (wiring cotton son same as those delivered on microphones) and make a shield.

Once everything is put together ... I plug and there is radical change, more noise and hum. I scratch a little rule microphones ... it is a treat to play! I no longer have the same guitar. The sound is very distinct in the bass and treble, no sound loud, it sounds round.
I had given up playing with the old pickup, now I love the sound and it's really the one I was looking for.
All microphones positions are pleasant to listen to and play ... My favorite positions are the bridge pickup and neck pickup.

I have a classic player stratocaster 50 Southwestern, and I wanted a pickup with a set of more roundness and accept better distortion. I was advised to see the side aisle Tornado MS, and that's what I did!

I contacted Mark at the beginning of April for a set of microphones.
We exchanged by email and following our discussion and taking into account all my expectations, Marc told me a 60's Strat Set waxed with middle pickup RW / RP.

As regards the sound:
This is exactly what I needed, the sound of my strat has transformed the sound is warm and a hallucinatory clarity, the notes are very defined, my guitar has become dynamic and wish much more present than before .

I think 230 euros for the service is impeccable and the good quality, and I have exactly the sound I was looking for months.

I use his strat pickups 60's for almost two years and I absolutely do not get tired of the sound of my Stratocaster (rosewood). Before I tested everything as microphones for stratocaster (Lollar, Fender, seymour duncan, etc ...) and I could not find the sound stratocaster that I listened to all the records of my favorite guitarist. I was disappointed every time, and often in the same set microphones were not balanced in them ... or as is often the bridge too criart.

I mounted the kit on a Vigier Supra which was based in MSM.
This Vigier was too focused to the metal and therefore too little versatile for me (gave lower boost crunch and light overdriven Tube Screamer distordaient).

I ordered this kit to be able to find a less barbarous sound. These vintage microphones you really make out the violin guitar. Lovers of blues, funk, rock there is enough to do. Those who prefer more modern styles are clearly disappointed although I think the bridge pickup is extremely efficient and accurate on the big distortion (type Suhr Riot Reloaded and Weehbo JVM).
I had not had the opportunity to test (can not find a place to test and, in addition, too lazy to look). However, I had not had that good feedback and, frankly, we are not disappointed!

Purchased at 219 €, these pickups are really great, this is a very good quality / price ratio. Go ahead with your eyes closed!

Marc is a genius of the microphone!
I have a road worn Strat whose violin is good, but equipped with Tex-Mex pickups that are not extraordinary. A friend told me about the work of Marc that I called. I purchased a set Gilmourish Tornado MS for Strat there about 2 years to replace my insipid American Standard pickups model 2008.
So pleased with the services of MS Tornado and quality microphones, well I offended.
I just took a 60's pickup. In fact, I was looking for the sound of Mark Knopfler position 2 (bridge + middle).

I started looking for micro and I came across Mark (and his company Tornado ms) by chance. I listened to the different sounds on his website and Strat '60s L series have me immediately liked. After installing it, I immediately understood that nothing would ever be the same! The guitar sounds of hell and found a really vintage sound. Marc surbobiné the bridge pickup because I use many effects of distortion and fuzz greasy. The sound is great with all positions. I play a lot on the bridge pickup and treble stand out beautifully on my hotrod deluxe. The sound is sweet and clear, the bass is very present and well balanced. Really nothing to do with modern microphones that assaulted my ears. I play well supported good rock (punk, noise, old rock, garage) and this is exactly the kind of sound I was looking for! Living human, where you can play in intensities.

For 357 euros (set custom vintage microphone mounted on plate with wiring at the top, the volume knobs and tone and a new plate + shipping), I am more than satisfied!

I always play my old Squier Strat JV 83 (Japan Vintage 60's) that I love, that sounds so Strato I like with a set CS 57/62 originally fitted, I had to redo it a little violin and I did it as I want a proper strat to replace the time of operations.
