I bought a stratocaster standard Southwestern there a few months and microphones do not suit me at all. Cold, sharp that you tear the eardrum, no charm .... I knew buying this guitar, which by thinking, is very well finished. The violin is good for really low prices.

I started looking for micro and I came across Mark (and his company Tornado ms) by chance. I listened to the different sounds on his website and Strat '60s L series have me immediately liked. I then read the different opinions and I started. After many discussions with Mark (thank you for your understanding!), I went on a plate with microphones mounted already and I received everything very quickly. After installing it, I immediately understood that nothing would ever be the same! The guitar sounds of hell and found a really vintage sound. Marc surbobiné the bridge pickup because I use many effects of distortion and fuzz greasy. The sound is great with all positions. I play a lot on the bridge pickup and treble stand out beautifully on my hotrod deluxe. The sound is sweet and clear, the bass is very present and well balanced. Really nothing to do with modern microphones that assaulted my ears. I play well supported good rock (punk, noise, old rock, garage) and this is exactly the kind of sound I was looking for! Living human, where you can play in intensities.

For 357 euros (set custom vintage microphone mounted on plate with wiring at the top, the volume knobs and tone and a new plate + shipping), I am more than satisfied!

I always play my old Squier Strat JV 83 (Japan Vintage 60's) that I love, that sounds so Strato I like with a set CS 57/62 originally fitted, I had to redo it a little violin and I did it as I want a proper strat to replace the time of operations.

I received my pickuard mounted Guitar n 'blues (which I also thank) with microphones MsTornade. Nothing to do with my old Strat pickups in my MIJ 93 ".

60s are bluffing. They respond extremely well to the attack and therefore gives a dynamic with which enjoys very quickly to put the "color" in rhythm. And solos become more personal and "musical". And they do not suffer the cuts microphones shops.

They have a very wide band of frequencies, so they go down well in the bass that are clean and not slimy, riding as well in acute who are not aggressive and screaming! Not to mention the round and warm mids ... Yum we would reiterate ...

I was afraid to use only the bridge (as I think bcp), Marc me therefore as a hair wound on ... PERFECT Thank passing Guitar n 'Blues for the mod to have the bridge completely independent from the rest in tone and volume (bridge handle a treat).

In conclusion I would say this is a very balanced and very elaborate set that allows an incredible sound the panel. An impressive dynamics and a wide frequency response. The definition of sound is spectacular and less string vibration is transmitted to the microphone without loss. Marc is a passionate craftsman and not at all in Council Avar who cares to listen to you to meet your needs.

I use these mics for two weeks. I could easily have post this review the same day that I brought them up as they fooled me but I preferred to wait for a step back. I have little experience with microphones "boutique" so I do not have many points of comparison. Anyway now I have no need to compare, I found!

I have Fender Stratocaster Custom Shop 1960 quartersawn neck with rosewood key "Slabboard" which was equipped with very special microphones: the CS'69. This is a very good guitar with a violin top flight but I thought the microphones do not put enough value. I recently discovered Marc Tornado MS and given very positive that I read reviews, I decided to commission a set L Series '60 with a capacitor Paper in Oil to try. What a great idea!

To put it simply, it's beautiful and it works on all selector positions. The sound is round and biting without being garish or aggressive. The dynamics are very impressive and all shades attack pick or fingers are transcribed! Clear or overdrive, the sound is never flat or soulless. The neck pickup is beautiful with this flute sound so characteristic, inter-positions are present and finally here is a pleasant to the ear central microphone and bridge pickups with body! Where it is very strong, is that they are very transparent. I mean that I recognize very well the sound had my guitar before but now it is of superior quality, as if my guitar was unbridled. Without exaggeration, it really goes something now when I play this guitar!

Marc was very good advice and did a great job. I went home to install and it even made me try his pickups on one of his amps. It's really good work and it deserves to be highlighted!

I just get the plate with the new set of microphones and under the supervision of Marc on the phone, I was able to complete the final assembly. Tuning and connection in a SWART, I finally found my 62 Stratocaster has everything a great and all positions are exploitable.

What I like most: Excellent definition, opportunities to obtain a multitude of harmonics on a good amp, sound amplitude (the lowest to the highest treble, through the "hot" and velvety mediums). These pickups have a very truly exceptional sensitivity.

This is the second set that I command Marc (1st TV 55) and once again, I can only compliment the work of Mark who is always friendly and good advice.
A must-have that I highly recommend.

Pickups for really excellent stratovolcano: officionados for blues, I can only recommend them warmly, with absolutely no restrictions!

QUALITIES:
Excellent definition, opportunities to get - quite frankly - a multitude of harmonics on a good amp, sound amplitude (the lowest to the highest treble, through the "hot" and velvety mediums) really unusual, including compared with Fender CS or even Bare Knuckle pickups. These pickups have a very truly exceptional sensitivity.

DEFAULT:
Very sensitive to feedback Pickups (in flow output level frankly very honest, but ... no more), to capture a significant environmental noise propensity (but perhaps it is the fact of my guitar poorly armored and not microphones Tornado ...).

CONCLUSION:
A set of microphones undoubtedly MUST for bluesmen, my dear Watson! And - the note - I have absolutely no action or participation in the company TORNADO, I did not even know the last week.

I got these pickups beginning in August, to install on a Squier "series E" of 86 rosewood, the violin very good, with a very good resonance vacuum and a very good balance between the strings. Originally it was equipped with ceramic pickups that suited him but no details at all. Since I installed a full plate Standart + condo Strat high quality (but too loud, lack of heat) and a Texas Special in serious, but it was not always. So to break the side a bit garish, I tried to burn a SD alnico 2 APS1. The Alnico 2 snack shine, but not the accuracy of the alnico 5, especially in the bass. It's still not going. Today, I can say that the challenge is successful, I find the whole quality of my Squier violin E, sustain, balance, plus the quality of these microphones. With Xotic RC + some Wampler, everything is precise, defined and warm.
I had in the past a Fender Strat Lone Star U.S., good warmth, SRV, but bad resonance, which I replaced with a Fender Custom Shop Closet Classic 60 'sublime 2000 (microphones reissue 60' specially made for this guitar by Fender CS). I kept this guitar 10 years and it gave me great pleasure. But my Squier equipped with these pickups has nothing to envy, or even the silky side microphones Tornado is more beautiful. I have 2 other Squier 89 (darker violin, but hot) and 92, and will soon exchange plates comparos other, and no doubt, that will be my next microphones Tornadoes MS Pickup! Difficult to choose new pickups for Strat so the choice is vast.
I came across by chance MS Tornado and after reading some reviews and seen the demo videos, I started. Communication with Marc is excellent, it is very responsive and gives good advice.
For my part I sent my pickguard in the mail and it came back with the microphones above and assembled components. The whole is mounted on a strat road worn 60's to replace the original tex-mex missing some life and thickness.
This is an excellent choice, his is the idea I had, perfect with a very slight vintage overdrive. The pickups have a real personality and it changes the models that we see everywhere. The price is right and the service was excellent so do not hesitate

Choosing set microphone is quite risky, difficult to realize with some opinions and videos if its one you will like it. Yet with microphones Marc can only be satisfied!

I use a set on a 60 strat (classic player 50) to replace the set of fender 57/62 of this base. And already with these mics to my luthier he was impressed by the quality of materials and manufacturing!
I wanted to change the microphone because I was tired of me 57/62. those are good, but my taste is too standardized, and their long I found a lack of dynamism, roundness and grain.

I tested my guitar once mounted on a fender DRRI and Orange TT. The cleans are really impressive dynamism, each microphone to his personality and each sound is usable even middle pickup which I'd never used before. The sound is typical, the pickup is slamming without being garish, the handle is qd him well rounded without losing attack. Intermediaries are in line with expectations with the qualities mentioned above. Short but good all good, and the gain (crunch & overdrive) sound opens advantage and we enter another dimension! The grain is accurate, is natural and set with an incredible dynamic.
Be careful though with a large saturation level, I got surprise to have feedback on the scene was set for my overdrive as before with lots of gain. Therefore benefited the max of these microphones with grain must be the preferred game volume knob (or revise the gain on the pedals and the preamp of the amp).

For the price (with 215th pdf) I find these unbeatable microphones to "standards" that can be fender (57/62, C69) or seymour duncan (SSL1) on both the build quality and sound offered by Marc. After making a single Type 60's Stratocaster (80 € including postage) to develop Neck position on a Steinberger I took the time to try it long enough ... two months ... for my mind to ask Marc a second single micro stratocaster Type 60's to put in the middle position and a double in bridge position ... (190 € including shipping) and frankly the result exceeds my expectations ... I received this set of mics three days ago. I ordered with a full plate for my standard strat pickups us 91 I found some and impossible to draw sound distortion, pout I'm on a good all-tube amp and tried lots of effects pedals but no n ' really holding my attention so I put Quette a microphone set. I just plugged my strat Chris Rea with a set of microphones MS Tornado '60s series L.
To be honest, I took a big blow!
Serious have a roundness and warmth than my previous microphones had not, and the highs are to die for! It's simple, before I only played one or two positions of the selector, and then I rediscovered a new guitar with a lot of potential.
