Published on 02/10/13 at 10:52I mounted a set of van zandt blues on a Godin Artisan st. Resolved to sell this guitar, I told myself, I try one last time with these microphones and shock there!
The guitar is transfigured, the beautiful violin (flamed maple on the table) is finally highlighted.
Microphones barretes original godin were very straight, very modern (ideal for a fusion style may be) then I mounted the gold lace sensor, the sound became creamy but I was not satisfied, it lacked character .
With Van zandt, it's amazing the sound is warm, powerful, velvety with a soft attack but also dynamic and virile if you attack strong, aiguées are not aggressive. Brief perfectly meet these mics game variations guitarist. Position 2 is superb, 1 and 3 are not far behind. In fact, a rarity on a strat, I think now all have something of interesting positions.
I play blues, jazz, funk, mainly, these microphones provide smoothly.
