What are the effects, types of effects available?
- Analog compressor, with controls traditional 19-inch rack
- Noise Gate simplified with only one threshold setting
- Can be coupled in stereo
- Insert jack sockets on the back of the unit allowing the connection of an equalizer (to make a goddess, for example).
- Input and output TRS and RCA + 4db-10db.
UTILIZATION
The general configuration is simple?
This device is very classic in its operation. Its controls are those that are found on all modern compressor.
Adjusting the noise gate with only command line is not always very useful, except percussion type sounds. Compressor controls however are complete and can cope with almost any situation. However, this requires some experience to find the right dosages. This unit does not have the automatic encountered on compressors such as Behringer Autocom. This can confuse beginners.
SOUND QUALITY
The effects are they effective, responsive and realistic enough?
Subject to master the use of a traditional compressor, this unit is very effective on voice, bass guitar, drums, etc. ...
OVERALL OPINION
I use this compressor for almost 19 years (already!). He has always given me satisfaction. Contrary to previous opinion, it will find its place in any professional audio installation "hardware" in the studio and live sound. Naturally, one should not compare it to a super high-end gear like the optical tube compressor manufactured by hand in ten numbered then modeled to be sold plugin! But it will do its job properly for that will tame it.
