The technology using VAC:
DBX 202c gold as the SSL 4000E console for compression round with a grain (MAGIC)

Dbx 202x as on the console and the rack 4000g SSL SSL G 384
for a more dynamic compression with less grain (MAGIC)

THAT 2180 or 2181 as the SSL G Xlogic for dynamic compression provides low frequencies not very interresting to me (UNLESS MAGIC) replica of the console but not equivalent.

UTILIZATION

config threshold very simple - attack ratio realese - gain

it comes in a mix or another and you wonder how you did before I had this compressor

Oxford turbo mode equivalent of SSL

Gyraf normal mode, a compressor close but not equivalent to SSL

SOUND QUALITY

a stereo buss of baterie, mix with the turbo mode oxford
and a buss with the instrument mode Gyraf to widen the stereo

OVERALL OPINION

ja'i had the opportunity to have lots of models at the same time with all types of FFA and I can say I much prefer the dbx 202x dbx 202c gold then a little more vintage and the vca That I No do not really like that in my opinion have nothing to do with the sounds you want to clone

after having tested both on a real console mode SSL4000G I can say that the normal mode GSSL Gyraf SSL is not a clone even with the sidechain filter
but the turbo mode oxford is equivalent to any level it just brings a little more brilliance (limit exciting!) than the original limit exciting!

So I put 7 / 10 because everyone prentendent gssl without the turbo mode or Oxford are clones of the real compressor in the console does not know whereof he speaks.
For proof of this video of designer SSL console that compares the two gssl mode (normal mode Gyraf said and said the turbo oxford) on the console ...

I always have a minimum and I do not mix without this machine for 5 years.
