The 12AX7 is a Ruby, I replaced it with a NOS Sylvania ..... much better!

UTILIZATION
Super easy to use, and GAIN GAIN reduction and switches to the "attack" and "release" (fast / medium / slow).

The most important .... trs good quality sound! it never feels the effect of "pump".
After changing the lamp I played a serious heat and power.
on the other hand, is the type of compression is slow!
For voice, bass and drum work is perfection.
OVERALL OPINION
Personally, I use it mostly for voice. the type of compression is plutt such as "vintage", a bit like the old limit "Altec"
For fans of the 60's American!
