TabRider listens to your acoustic guitar through the iPad built-in microphone or electric guitar through an amp or directly connected to the iPad (required an adapter) and features 80 guitar exercises divided into 5 categories (technique, rhythm, picking, chords and arpeggios), a guitar tuner and a metronome.
At the moment, there are 40 tabs of classical and traditional music available, with more to come in the future.
The app is designed for beginners as well as experienced players, for several difficulty levels are available. In use, TabRider displays a tab, and you’ll have to play the notes by following a cursor, just like Guitar Hero or any guitar video game. The score will increase according to the right notes played, which will unlock new levels and reward you with bronze, silver and gold picks.
TabRider is available on the AppStore for $4.99.
