I think these are the mics "54 tv" that made me understand how Seymour Duncan was a gifted magician. These microphones are real "tone machine". P. .. What a sound!
Higher than the original U.S. Fender? Ben is the question that hangs in the air in the middle of a fragrance lamp and pick hot melt ... I do not answer, you be the judge!
Pickup:
Faithful replica of a model produced by micro little fender, the Tele54 has the distinction of having blocks of unequal height on the strings of D and G and a diameter slightly less than the studs and Teles to Esquire 'before and after 1954.
Compared to a Fender American Standard, the bridge pickup has more definition (even if very full). In his clear, the twang sounds much richer and more complex harmonics and has a presence in the high mids that allows the soloist to stand out clearly in the group.
In return it requires to boost the bass on the amp (Vox or Mesa welcome)
Micro Channel:
Ooohh the beautiful vintage sound, my god my god, you like Steve Cropper and the Stax sound? It's a bit woody and sour melancholy, is simply soulissime ... Yes but it will pay a little by a lack of output level. Is the black spot? Yes definitely because it makes some interesting intermediate position as the bridge pickup sound colors too due to its much higher level.
Similarly, the large difference in level between the two microphones makes the guitar very well suited to the stage. I regret a little, but that's why I submitted a Fender Texas Special in neck pickup, sniff, tans much for the beautiful sound of Steve Cropper.
