This PU was mounted on an Open G Telecaster, blending perfectly with the Tornade MS PAF '59 pickup installed in neck position. These Tornade MS pickups can be considered as small wonders if you look for a twangy Telie sound revitalized by the roundness of the Humbucker. Marc from Tornade MS made me the wiring like an old Telecaster, that mix as desired both pickups using for this the tone knob (i.e., the wiring adopted since 1972 by Keith Richards, among others). That's great, it’s possible to play the Telie on the bridge pickup by incorporating as desired the Humbucker (B/N = 60%/40%, 80%/20%, and so on). Forgotten the ‘57 Gibson PAF, which was originally installed on the guitar, and the Seymour ‘59 that had improved the sound a bit. Also forgotten the Don Mare Keefer in the bridge position, too powerful and without nuance. Now is the best of the best. Thank you very much Marc, the Telie rocks, it's nothing to say, it must be heard to be believed!

I had this set installed on my Tele CV Custom a little over a week ago.

It certainly met my expectations. The pickups have punch. You can easily find THE classic Tele sound.
The bridge pickup is perfectly well-balanced, compared to the other one I had, which was shrill.
The neck pickup has a personality of its own and it's not dull at all, compared to the old one I had.

The finish is impeccable. We are talking about a quality product here.

I also changed the entire electronics to have higher-quality components — bought from Tornade MS as well — and there is simply no comparison. Zero noises, nothing.

I have a Mexican Tele tuned to G. I replaced the lousy original pickups with a Seymour Duncan Broadcaster and a Vintage 54 at the neck. I also had it rewired to make it all vintage.
It was clearly better, but the sound of the bridge pickup was too rough. I then contacted Marc Aimar to ask him for advice and he recommended the Nocaster set together with a Broadcaster wiring. To be honest, it's like night and day!!!
The bridge pickup sounds twangy and rough at the same time. The sound is full. The neck pickup is awesome, too, it sounds clear and super well-defined. And the blend allows me to get sounds ranging from very twangy (but with fullness) to smoother (but really punchy!!) sounds with the bridge pickup. I also have a Tornade MS '50s Strat and, honestly speaking, Marc is a genius!!! I don't regret my choice at all.

How long have you been using the product?
1 day. After a disconcerting start (which lasted several minutes), I think these pickups are very, very good!


Did you try any other models before buying this one?
No, only those of my Mexican Telecaster Standard and other US Teles, but I prefer these.


Which feature do you like the most / the least?
From the moment that the craftsmanship and the woods are good and the guitar sounds naturally, it's easy to find an authentic sound with a lot of character with these pickups. It's like playing a high-end guitar. It's a real pleasure to play with it!!

How would you rate its value for money?

Hi all, I ordered this set Nocaster-tele 54 last July for a telecaster I myself meeting with an alder body and a maple neck.
The result is superb microphones offer a rich sound with all positions, they are very balanced and very versatile. The neck pickup gives a wonderful sound as clear crunch (perfect for jazz and blues) and the micro-bridge is super well balanced it is dynamic without being loud crunch sound is rock'n'roll. The intermediate position is also very interested in, I am very satisfied by the quality of its microphone is the third set of pickups I order tornado in MS I am always satisfied with the accuracy and quality of its products. I recommend his pickups if you want the sound telecaster.

I just installed this set of microphones on my TV ri52 that my taste frankly missing fishing. So much so that I had acquired a Xotic ep booster for the semblance of sound I wanted and despite this wonderful pedal, I could not be satisfied: the deaf and without clear definition and distos close a cheap guitar. So I sought opinions on a possible upgrade, not knowing the shop before it microphones. And after hours and hours of research I came across several names of French boutique microphones. I contacted several before making my choice on this brand because the answers to my questions were brought to me by Mr. Aimar.
Installation made more change capacity by a drop orange (little more brought by marc at our various exchanges) and There waouhh.

All that to say that this set perfectly meets the demand I made in price and quality.
Ie keep the spirit of ri 52 for a not too sharp clear clean, warm and does not crunch too fast with the neck and the bridge get beautifully focused distos. And it take me to blues to rock see rock further.
I want to say contract you better. I feel like a new guitar, my marshall jcm 2000 has never even made it with my other shovels.

Wow, I bought this set to replace 54 Nocaster pickups fender telecaster mexico on 80s, and then the slap: The guitar is transformed, now it sounds. Happy owner of a Squier Classic Vibe Telecaster, and enjoying his violin much, I wanted to offer micro worthy of the name. (The original pickups are uneven and too "bright" for my taste to attack the rock Crunch)
After searching the internet for different brands of microphones, I came by chance on the website Tornado pickups.
Very good advice, as well as some videos helped me realize that the quality was well appointment, for a reasonable price. The wound made in France by hand .... The idea appeals to me!
After a few email exchanges with Marc, it identifies the type of sound I am looking for, namely a sound at the Stone Rock, bold, velvety, and advises me Nocaster pickups.
After placing the order, I received my microphones colissimo 5 days later.

Now I have THE sound I was looking for: Dynamic, living, velvety bass crunchent masterfully. the treble, but are not too keen. The tone knob seems to revive. I feel like a new custom shop guitar and a new amp .....

I have a Squier better sound quality than the Fender Telecaster 52 buddy. This means!!

I have not tried other microphones, but I can say that the people are really worth.
A good height adjustment microphones is essential if you do not want to cause too much feedback. Do not hesitate to lower the bridge pickup from the original microphone.

I struggled at first to get a good sound, but it was not because of the microphones. On the Squier, electronics leave a bit to be desired. A ground loop caused a really annoying buzz with new pickups, buzz disappearing as soon as the fingers touch the bridge or strings. You just need to remove the wire guilty of the loop (which connects the switch to the shell mass general volume knob) I spent more than 8 hours to pinpoint the problem ..... Moreover, I will go and post the tip on the Squier page.

I use it for three days on an '51 custom shop Nocaster (2010) that I have bought and which was equipped with its microphones (ad to which I responded to AF): I am still schotché : I feel like a guitar that sings Hallelluia ... Having a Fender Telecaster "mexico" I was a little disappointed with the original pickups. Especially the micro serious (handle), I found "board" in its clear. The bridge pickup is very "rock" but less showy than the original, more "vintage".
