I find really pleasant handle better than my telecaster made in japan and
much more ergonomic than a Gibson LP.

Made between Mexico and the United States, the telecaster is fairly standard in these characteristic (alder body, Alnico vintage rosewood fingerboard on mine)

I tried to be hyper rhythmic slap in the crunch (and there with a small DOD OD250 is nickel).

UTILIZATION

After comparison with Ash and a custom lite Mex .... without hesitation the handle of the Highway One is a great comfort.
The jumbo frets make it easy to bend, it takes a little getting used to the slides. The access is easy to acute.
It is not particularly heavy but tends to bite the head, which can cause tension in the left arm over time. But hey if it can catch up the muscles!

Tried several times before purchase of tube amps.
The clean sounds are beautiful.
The neck pickup is known to be round, the tele bridge pickup is typical for me with a little something extra compared to other tele tried.

I play at home with a Hughes & Ketner 50 W which has the merit of not coloring the sound. So my zoom pedal can find just about the sounds you want.
Great for the funk too.
Saturation going very well on the bridge pickup, the TV is rock (of course) but even hard metal (note I did not compare with Ibanez and consors for me but here goes).

You will not sound bold, the microphones are relatively clear and well defined.
I have not yet found a good use of the tone knob.

OVERALL OPINION

I use it for a month.
I love the playability, the neck, simplicity telecaster.
I chose to have something different in my body jazz, better than the copy of strata (really bad) of my daughters. I tried the Fender Stratocaster (60th Anniversary ...), a Godin G1000 (old copy of Start ... very good), a Godin Exit 22 (excellent), Jetking Ibanez, Ibanez SZ520, Lag Roxanne 200. When I got my hands on that telecaster I knew it was her. Later I confirmed my choice by trying two more times with a secondhand (I'll talk about it) by comparing with two other tele (see above) ... and voila! I fell in love.

Warning: the highway one tele-hand I tried was red, had a year, and the varnish was gone to the places of contact (right forearm and above the strings). The varnish is very fragile. That's why I took Honey Blonde. If the varnish from the wood will be visible in much the same color!

Conclusion: it is a purchase favorite, can not you will not feel the same desire for tele highway .... try anyway.

(Although it is microscopic to 50 cm can be seen more). I could have tested the warranty, but since I bought it mail-in action (18 % cheaper), thinking of the risk during transport by post, I thought it was a lesser evil as the rest was fine. Ouaaah! Good clean sound, great, but if the level is less important than a Les Paul (normal is simple), the sound is of course more "clear" and shining with the "twang" legendary model. The neck pickup is a treat if you like his TV. I compared it with a Baja and the latter is a bit higher side neck pickup (more dynamic). The possibilities are also higher on the Baja because of the 5-way switching and Push Pull. But I also like the simplicity! SOUNDS

The sound is the main asset of this guitar! It's amazing! Real typical Telecaster sound. I had the opportunity to try out more expensive Telecasters like the American standard and I didn't notice a huge difference! This guitar perfectly matches my needs. It's very versatile. I get a super sound with my Marshall MG 50 DFX. The clean sound is wonderful, the bridge pickup sounds twangy and the neck pickup warm! I love its sound with distortion. With the adequate settings you can play anything you want =) I play a lot of Bon Jovi stuff and the sound is terrific!

OVERALL OPINION

I've been using it for several months. I love its typical Telecaster sound, which is on the same level as its bigger sisters! I previously tested other Fender, Gibson, Ibanez guitars. But I fell in love with this one =D. The value for money is unbeatable for a guitar made in the USA! I'm sure I would buy it again! I took my time choosing a guitar fitting my needs. I tried out many models and this one was my favorite for its quality and looks. I recommend it to anyone looking for a good Telecaster at an affordable price. It's a killer guitar =) I give it 9/10 because nothing is perfect =P
