«  A character to the punch! »

So it's a Telecaster, made in Korea, with an ash body marshes (in 2 parts on mine), a birdseye maple neck and birdseye maple stain reported. The choice of a key report instead of a real mapleneck is curious, given that there is bleeding from the truss rod in the back of the neck ... Incidentally, I'm not a big fan of birdseye (but all tastes are in nature) and this seems too soft maple. Poorly dried, perhaps?
The pickups are excellent and NLT-1 TRPA-1 Seymour Duncan home.
The bridge is a "vintage", 3 bridges.
The mechanical oil bath are a little cheap at first, but yet prove accurate and reliable over time.
The varnish of the body is fairly thick and glossy ... damage.
Note also that the edges of the body are a little smoother than most of the Telecaster (well, that gun down a little less forearm ...)
In short, overall, this is typically a Telecaster vintage-inspired.

UTILIZATION

The first grip ... ouch ouch ouch!
The frets were cut with an ax and spill over the sides of the handle, and no setting has been done by default! The neck is too concave, the action is monstrous, and accuracy is catastrophic.
Well, nothing very serious, in absolute terms, but we will have to spend two hours in the workshop.
The neck is thin enough in C for a Telecaster, and is very comfortable once the frets polished. The satin finish provides excellent glide. I prefer the thicker sleeves, but it's a matter of taste.
The guitar is light enough (normal, the body is ash swamps).
Otherwise, this is typically a Telecaster: you plug it sounds.

SOUNDS

From the outset, the first attempt at the store (although the settings were catastrophic and the edges of frets aggressive), I felt the direct potential of this skyscraper.
It is kneaded fault (nothing but crippling) but what it sounds! terrible! A monstrous character.
On the bridge pickup, its clear that twangue at full speed. I rarely played with such a tele Twang. The attacks are chattering, in short, stack what I wanted.
In crunch, each attack brings down the plaster. It's rock to be terribly scabby ...
And surprise, a simple microphone, the free saturations go perfectly with a grain to wake the dead.
The neck pickup sounds much darker, and is down-level compared to the significant pickup. Not super convenient to switch between the two. For cons, I love its sound. It's soft, very round, and with a slight crunch (the TS9 thank you), it offers a dynamic and grain absolutely delicious. Very, very bluesy.
Incidentally, pleasant surprise that makes it even better, the knobs for volume and tone controls are very usable (it will sometimes calm the heat of the bridge pickup).
In the end, whatever the style matter, this guitar still requires his character to it, and it is a treat!
It will quite happily from blues to hard rock to Aerosmith through the rock or country stonien with all possible variants.
No, really, to sound, it sounds!

OVERALL OPINION

I have 7 years (déjà. ..)
I tried a lot of TLC, some fabulous, others bland.
I especially the idea of buying a Baja, very pretty and with a round profile that I like, but I finally found far too civilized, without character.
The Lite Ash really has his "mojo" of its own. I found, it corresponds to what I wanted, so I keep it! Especially since, contrary to what I feared, she is aging very well. The sleeve has kindly finish is dry is now perfectly stable, and gradually taking guitar yellow with age. It's starting to look pretty for a "butterscoth blonde" (the fact that it is on a stand facing the window to help a lot too).
In short, it's a guitar that requires a little tinkering at the beginning (or a visit to the luthier), but it really deserves it!
For the price it costs, that sounds like a scratch that's unexpected.
