Tele LBS

LBS (La Boite à Son) TelecasterPublished on 09/28/22 at 04:46
Bought this natural finish LBS Tele over 10 years ago for an amount not more than 150 euros. At first the guitar was not well put together (wiring was wrong - pots and switches did not function correctly), neck was a little bent but after a little TLC this very cheap guitar became my favorite over my Jem 7, Fender USA strat and only second to my Gibson Les Paul. I do not know the exact specs of the wood and pickups but this guitar is by far the best value for my money ever spent on a guitar!

Channel satin maple neck, solid alder body, 21 frets, the pickups (which I do not know the origin) sound surprisingly good for a guitar of this price. The rest of the settings have all of a telecaster classic: a knob for the tone, another for volume, and a selector (poor quality) to three positions bridge / Bridge-Channel / Channel.

UTILIZATION

The handle is of superb craftsmanship and allows an easy game and nice.
The access to the highs is easy and the last freight sound good.
However, note: for some reason too, the guitar is heavier than average guitar.

SOUNDS

We get a decent sound with this guitar, even a small amp booster.
It saturates little but sound and light, perfectly suited to the Blues, but also at the Rock.
The pitch looks good to me. However, despite the good sounding mics, accuracy is not their forte, which is felt particularly clean, much less saturated, thank you, God of Rock ...
I take this opportunity to clarify that the screw is the same as a Fender. No animals leave gaping holes or dig into the alder body beautiful painted to perfection, so if you have the wallet, of Seymour & Duncan easily remedied.

OVERALL OPINION

I use it since January 2010 and I am satisfied for the price it cost me on Ebay.
I tried other guitars before taking it and I'm not disappointed, its really a quality approaching Squier at much lower prices.
The quality is good, the guitar is pretty well finished (if you do not pay too much attention to the little extra polish, I'm a little on the edge of the handle, but at this price point is really tiny as default) and sounds good, she came with D'Addario strings special series (27 € in the game Woodbrass is almost half the price of the guitar: p)
I like less weight.
